Still no cinemas listed on their website, but my local cinema is already selling tickets, so I just bought me one as an early christmas gift. Unfortunately, it's shown with (German, I suppose) subtitles, which I hate, but what can you do? The subtitles from the Billy Elliot screening were horrible - time delayed and very badly translated and quite big so they were somewhat distracting.
Fingers crossed they'll also be eventually releasing a CD and Bluray.

While we're waiting for the website to be updated, has anyone seen yet which London cinemas will be showing this? Thanks!

Cheers! Should've clarified I was after central London as Kingston and Turnbridge Wells are too far for me Save

Really annoyed as I've booked tickets for the WOS Awards, which is the same day, so wanted a central London showing of Newsies, but Vue's showings are too late so they clash (at least according to the times they currently give).

There was a great programme in Sky Arts last night called Backstage with Disney that included a segment about Newsies including an interview with Jeremy Jordan.

Does anyone know if the plan is to release this on DVD/Blu-ray after the cinema showing?
Was hoping to see it at the cinema, but doesn't seem to be on anywhere where I live (Brighton)!

Just booked my ticket for a screening on Saturday 11th Feb That's funny, it's on 19th Feb in Manc. Aren't these screenings usually on the same day nationwide? Unfortunately I seem to have deleted the original notification post that I received but if memory serves me correctly, this was an exclusive advance screening. Just found it. Newsies - The Broadway Musical 12 February Soho House Screening Room // £15 The UK premiere of Newsies is due to be shown in the cinemas on the 19th February...but there is one small hitch...that is the same day as the WhatsOnStage awards.
We know that a lot of you are attending the awards so we have scheduled a private screening for members...a week before general release, so you get to see it before everyone else!
We have a very small allocation of tickets for this private screening at Soho House Members' club, so please book to avoid disappointment. And then when I logged into book, despite the above date, there was the option for a second date and as the Saturday works better for me, that's what I chose.

Hi all, I apologise if someone's already said this but even if so it's probably worth repeating. I just booked to see this at my local cinema (cineworld). Would have cost me £27 for 2 tickets.
However, if you search for "cineworld tickets" on ebay, you can commonly pick up 2 voucher codes for about £11-12. You then go onto the cinema webside, pay a £1 booking fee, use your voucher code and book. Total cost £13 rather than £27.
Some sellers promise to send your voucher code within 5 minutes (mine took 1 minute). Some voucher codes are also good for the central London cinemas (which can be £20 or so a ticket I think?) so massive saving available. I've done similar with Odeon/Vue/Picturehouse before too.
Really looking forward to this now! Last musical I saw in the cinema was Memphis and had a great time, so fingers crossed.

Is a DVD a definite? Nothing on Amazon yet.... I don't think a DVD/Blu Ray release has yet been officially announced, but I do hope it will eventually happen - and a CD release. I'd love to have a proper recording of Crutchie's new song "Letter from the Refuge" early in act 2.
