I suspect the reason The Human Voice did terribly was because it wasn't a good show.

Thanks for sharing. Certainly an interesting read - and proves how much the West End relies on international tourism. The article pulls out quite a lot of the themes we’ve been discussing on here over the past few months too.

David Pugh seems bitter about Pride and Prejudice (Sort of) not lasting in the West End but I suspect it wouldn't have been a long runner even before the pandemic and his last two shows weren't exactly hits either.
