A while back there was a 'They should turn that into a Musical' thread, ideas people wanted to see realised on the stage.
How about some Bank Holiday jest with ideas that definitely shouldn't be musicalised onto the stage...
iMusical - The Apple Story
Lips, Humps, Tits & Thumps: The Katie Price Musical
Snooker: A New Silent Musical
Batman (or any iteration thereof)
Star Trek: The Next Generation Musical

Okay, I’ll be the first to say it…
Back to the Future.
Oh, whoops.

I think Batman could work but I suspect the failure of both It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane and Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark will have put anyone trying it.

"Working 9 to P45" - a mockumentary jukebox musical about a west end cast sacked by social media.

I recommend checking out the late Jim Steinman's "Batman" demo recording of his musical treatment. He sings the Joker - it's truly crazy and part of me loves it, in a weird way. It's very a... unusual concept. Then there was a Batman live show which toured the world, and played the o2 I think? I don't know anyone who actually saw this though, I think it was meant to be more akin to the original "War of the Worlds" tour (back when it was good) or "Walking with Dinosaurs", I don't think it was a true musical, more an "experience".

Having seen Showstopper do many enjoyable improvised musicals based on very unlikely suggestions, I now find it hard to think of anything that definitely shouldn't be turned into a musical!

I saw the Batman show when it was at the Manchester Arena. It was diabolical. There was a scene where Batman and Robin ran across the stage and I swear it looked more like the scene from Only Fools and Horses when Del and Rodney were in costume

I would absolutely watch Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Musical as long as they keep the dorky poetry readings and the aggressively 90s pastel colour schemes.

Sutcliffe! The Musical from "Brass Eye" springs immediately to mind.

Gay the Musical 'I'm a friend of Dorothy, she...is my friend' Are you mad? That’s exactly the sort of thing that SHOULD be a musical! Imagine the giant tap dance sequence set in the saunas!

Nothing can beat Stop The Planet of the Apes, I Want to Get Off and Oh, Streetcar! both from The Simpsons. The latter was great because it misses the entire point of A Streetcar Named Desire.
