With Lloyd Newson retiring and DV8 announcing a shut down in the same way Kneehigh did I’m curious what everyone thinks of it. There’s an argument I’ve seen on social media that because ACE have invested so much in the companies it’s irresponsible/egocentric for a few people to think the company can’t go on without them and just shut up shop. What do you reckon?

What do you reckon? If they also took Covid recovery funds, like Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory, it is even more problematic if they shut down. I would have thought ACE should be involved in the decision - maybe they were ? |

Lloyd is 65 now so retiring is no shock especially if he has been doing that very physical dancing style all these years. I thought the company had been on hold for a few years already though.
