Any word on what might be going in? Laying out a theatre weekend and hope they announce soon? any inside word?

It's been a while since they revived a classic...one of them, please, with not too much buggering about with the audience.

Do MACBETH and THE CHAIRS not count as classics?

>>It's been a while since they revived a classic.. Do MACBETH and THE CHAIRS not count as classics? That is a good question. I'd say Macbeth does and The Chairs (written in 1952 and very rarely seen) doesn't.

If Tammy Faye ends up scheduked over the summer I'd be ecastic. What may sound like a dumb question - with nearly all West End and other theatres having annpounced their summer season - is there a conern that unless Almeida has an extraordinary out of the gate hit already to be scheduled - arent they missing out on possible box office? I do love that theatre.

Ah, too bad I'll miss it in September. Love Jake Shears...meanwhile, eagerly anticipating the announcement of their summer season. I just love that theatre

Wondering if they are maybe planning to extend House of Shades if the word of mouth is good.

Oh, that is quite interesting. Didn't even think of that. Either way, so odd to have not announced anything for Summer

They don't normally have shows on during the summer for some reason. I'm surprised no autumn announcement yet though

I suppose this explains why Goold directed "The 47th" at the Old Vic - too similar to "Patriots". It seems a particularly sterile form of theatre to me, simply dramatising current events/people with actors, but I fail to see the point of Madame Tussauds either. I like Will Keen though - I wonder if it was easy to cast that role.
