This will come at some point, for sure. But as people on this board know: it's not quite the same thing.

Learning what they decided to cut and how they try tomake it work is definitely one of the things I'm looking forward to hear this year. Close second is how they want to make The Book of Mormon more pc. Both ridiculous ideas if you think about it, but interesting.

Looks more like Doctor Who than Harry Potter...

Also never understood the nest-thing, but likeed it a lot. This looks too modern and generic. This is billed as the spellbinding original....I wonder what Sonia Friedman will call the Broadwqay version. Brilliant time-saver?

Hello I hope someone may be able to help.
I’m looking to take my Harry Potter obsessed friend to this a birthday gift, so have been looking at tickets just to grasp what’s what.
I don’t mind splashing out but didn’t know if there’s any bargains or deals to be had, in terms of restricted seats that aren’t too restricted for example? When you take into consideration it’s 2 shows the tickets aren’t too bad, but didn’t know if there’s anything to bear in mind before booking?!
Any tips appreciated, thank you!

Some of the restricted view seats in the stalls are really good for the price - E2/3 and F1/2 were the ones we had. They ARE restricted view though but it will save you upwards of £100 a ticket.

I sat in B2/3 in the balcony and paid £15 per part. You have to be able to deal with the safety rail but once you've got in the right position I found them to be a steal. Legroom is a little tight but at 6 foot 4 I got in!

Has there been any news on what they're doing with the Broadway version yet? Curious how they're going to turn it into a single play!
Glad to see the London one starts today again, excited to see it soon I hope!

Apparently everyone seeing this in October gets a free lego minifigure... Now I love it when you get freebies at the theatre, but lego is definitely a new one :')

Presumably it will be one of the many poly bags sets they have issued but if it's in any way difference or exclusive you could have a valuable asset to sell knowing how many people seem just to collect the figures. Anyone going please put a note in your review/ comments on what the Lego gift or product number is.

It's a Harry minifig, wearing a black suit (robes?) and a red shirt and tie. Nothing particularly exciting but I guess if they're giving out several thousand of them for free then it needed to be something simple.

Thanks for picture. It would be a very magical mini figure if you could pose the legs as in the image. The recent Harry potter polybags have Harry in his grey school gear rather the rather snazzy outfit he has on in the picture. We await updates with anticipation!
Looking at the booking for October it does seem to have strong sales and some nights sold out already so looks to have come back still as a hot ticket

We no longer care about keeping the secrets anymore, apparently, as the cast board now shows every role a person plays, even if canonically dead (the way they should have stayed…). I’d also forgotten that my booking got moved and they bumped me up a price band or two when they rebooked me in, so this is a MUCH better seat than I’m used to at the Palace :’) Interested to see whether they used their lockdown time, and the opportunity of drastically changing the show on Broadway, to make this version make any more sense. I doubt it, but I can dream. I’m not even sure if I’d notice any chances, since it’s been so long since I last saw it. I fully anticipate there still being plot holes you could drive a HGV through.

A few changes so far (at the end of Part One), to both dialogue and staging. Doesn't really make a lot of difference to anything. I absolutely hate some of Harry's acting choices early on, but he got better throughout the evening. So glad Ron and Ginny stayed on since before the shutdown - I really like them both. I forgot how great the end of Part One is - super effective.
And a shoutout to the Palace Theatre for not hiding their cast board from half their audience! Much appreciated :')

Always amazed by people, who dislike the show so much and stress it all the time, but apparently go see it again and again...

Always amazed by people, who dislike the show so much and stress it all the time, but apparently go see it again and again... Oh there are moments I like. The plot as a whole is just undeniably complete trash :') I live in hope that the new version on Broadway might fix some of the more glaring issues. But the actors usually do a fantastic job, and I like comparing them. Plus cheap tickets are easy to get, and all theatre is better than no theatre. There are problems with every show, but people still go see them for one reason or another. For me Cursed Child is a show with a lot of potential to be a good piece of theatre - the funds are there, the magic is there, even the new characters are good. Then the plot happens. But I still appreciate the stage magic and the characters. In my head I'm just writing them different dialogue...

Does anyone have an understudy list for the new cast they wouldn’t mind sharing?

Went to see this tonight and mostly loved it, but good grief, Michelle Gayle’s enunciation is dreadful. Everyone else, crystal clear, but I had no idea what some of her lines even were.
A couple of people on our row vanished after the interval in part one, only to reappear for part two. Turned out they’d thought the interval was the end of part one. Oops!

Well... it IS time to believe in magic again. And keeping secrets only made sense until they published the playtext anyway...
