If I lived out of London and was rich I'd definately do it. Afternoon tea, pre show cocktail in the bar, show, dinner after and upstairs to my room. Nice breakfast in the morning. Perfect.

It’s a shame they didn’t manage to catch some of the Savoy’s better productions in recent years - Funny Girl, A Little Life and Sunset would’ve elevated that list a bit!

If only because it would mean having a post-show dinner option besides Greggs or Chinatown. With everything shutting at 10 these days I've been wondering what actors do if they want to eat once they finish work. At least there's the new M&S in Shaftesbury Avenue that's open till midnight now.

Burlesque at Manchester Opera House. Woman behind telling her mates about seeing Pretty Woman on one of ATG’s Ambassador Lounge tickets: “We paid £110 each and I think that was really good value for money.” Same woman after the show: “That’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen. You can tell it was good because it got a standing ovation; most shows don’t get a standing ovation.” I'm wheezing at this. Bless her... I called ATG thieving robbing barstewards for only allowing 'lounge tickets' on the first few rows of the Liverpool Empire when Blood Brothers is on next March. I'm a cardholder as well.

She was really bragging it up. “We had a programme, and a free drink, and free crisps… And it had its own toilet!” I absolutely hate the fact that they do that at the Empire. I’d always rather sit front row but there’s a few things I haven’t booked now because of that.

It’s worrying when people who might not know any better (because they don’t go very often) think these jumped up VIP tickets are a good deal. How much value do they attach to a “nibble box” and a glass of plonk? As for sitting in the Ambassador Lounge.. no ta!

I have to say, I booked the last remaining ticket for COme From Away at hte last minute on Saturday in Wimbledon and it was an ATG lounge ticket. I wasn't fussed about the ice cream or the pretzel bites but the prosecco and ambience was nice and I enjoyed not being surrounded by the rest of the audience until the actual show. (There must be some kind of irony in that experience but there we go...) I was glad just to get a ticket, though I have NEVER paid £95 for any performance of Come From Away before.

I'm sure it was a mistake but when I booked the first preview for Sunset Blvd it offered me an add on package for £25 for 2 people. We got a programme each, little bottle of prosecco each plus 2 interval ice cream vouchers and 2 tubs of luxury crisps. When I tried to add it to my 2nd visit the offer has gone. Best value offer from ATG ever.

I remember really wanting to be at the (re)opening night of Come From Away post-Covid, and the only good seats at the front were the Ambassador Lounge ones, so I bought it - think it was £100.
I’m sure those who’ve been in the Ambassador Lounge at the Phoenix will agree it’s nothing particularly special, but the Prosecco was nice and it was lovely to chat to a couple of other super fans pre-show, and avoid all the crowds front of house (another theatre with limited FOH space!) so it was probably worth it, on that occasion… but it was very much a treat and balanced out by all the times I got Rush tickets for that show.

I had two champagne cocktails, some nibbles, a tub of ice cream and my programme, all for £25. ATG have made more than enough out of me in recent years so I didn’t feel guilty in the slightest!
