I wonder if they will end up moving theatres for a longer run or another limited run?

I'm going tomorrow night. I'm booked into row S, which isnt their 'premium' seats, despite what the offer says and I wont have saved any money like it says on the Today Tix app.
I will be contacting Today Tix if im still in Row S.

I saw the show this evening, having seen it previously at the Southwark Playhouse. There were some improvements on the previous production - the lifeboat scene was staged differently and more effective, the names of those who lost their lives really shows how big of a tragedy it was. I preferred the cast at the SP, but this cast still give it their all and the choral singing still gives me goosbumps. All except the actress who was playing Ida Straus, because she didnt sing a note all night. She spoke her lines and 'Still' became a solo. I presume she is unwell and unable to sing?
I didnt find the actor playing Bride to be camp at all, more of a public schoolboy personna, though my companion thought he was a reclusive gay man.... the venue wasnt sticky or smelly but it was very warm.
Our seats were in Row S as expected and I wasnt upgraded to 'Premium' though i did get the free drink and programme.

That actually makes me want to see it! Looks more epic than I thought it could be at Charing Cross.

Made my decision for me when I read this earlier, and I opted for The Go Between instead. Might try and see if there's any 'proper' £29.50 tickets available further forward later in the run.

I booked £29.50 tickets in row E earlier this week for the last week of the run, which is the extension - still plenty of tickets at that price in front of the premium seats when I was booking. 8-13 Aug.
Edited to add: Oddly, I got emails today from Charing X Theatre and Dress Circle today saying "Ends 6 Aug" - I hope not given I have tix for the following week!

I saw the matinee of this yesterday (16th July), and it has to rate as one of my theatrical highlights so far this year along with SHOW BOAT and PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS.
The score is absolutely ravishing! Totally up my street. I actually think it is pretty much perfect, and would not cut a thing. It is BIG music, and completely theatrical. Not to mention it is beautifully sung, which has become something of a novelty in musicals these days. It was done full justice with proper voices! There were numerous times when I had goosebumps running up and down my spine (particularly during the choral passages). Stunning!
The production itself was simple, but effective. It just shows you don't need big flashy sets to create real emotion.
The only thing that slightly spoiled the afternoon was that the theatre was BOILING!
If Yeston's score for DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY is anything like TITANIC, then I will fall in love with that too. Cannot wait! (Have RAGTIME first).
Just go!
5 stars.

The score to DTAH does have some similarities to Titanic's. It's set in a similar era, there's some nice choral stuff, a few pastiche sounding numbers and also because it is quite a grand sounding score, if that makes any sense.
I'll definitely be booking for it.
Do they do group bookings? Maybe we all have an outing to see it!

With the postponement of Radio Times, is a further extension of Titanic likely?

Would be nice but I'm wondering if Titanic only extended by one week because of cast availability. I doubt there are any understudies so if some of the cast have other commitments, then that may be it. [Not sure how likely that is; there's probably a lot of people on this board who know more than me about these things!]

Do you think they would consider a tour of the show? Let the natives in the sticks see what a fantastic show they are missing? How about a cd as well??

Do you think they would consider a tour of the show? Let the natives in the sticks see what a fantastic show they are missing? How about a cd as well?? I would love a CD of this cast. So fantastic (mostly). I really think it deserves a proper West End run of at least two years - it's such a brilliant show. I was there again tonight and so many people were fanning themselves throughout - it was quite hot. Had personal dramas before the show and during the interval but still really enjoyed the show. I want to see it again already. If you haven't seen this, you should (unless you know you don't like the score or something). The ushers were noticeable in their absence during the show which was a semi-relief after last time (see the Bad Behaviour thread). Although when one clever gent managed to switch the torch on on his phone mid Act One, it would've been nice to see him get a good finger-wagging at least.

I can never stop thinking about 'Lady's Maid' in this production. Victoria Serra pulls it off so beautifully.

I haven't stopped listening to the Original Broadway CD since seeing the show last Saturday, and am still not bored of it. A truly beautiful score if ever there was one, and now a new one on my list of favourites. Yes, let's hope there is a London recording.

Saw it last night, what a great show with an absolutely stunning score. Really enjoyed this production, the cast were strong and the staging worked.
Was busy last night too, very hot inside the auditorium!

After seeing it I couldn't stop humming a few bars and singing the few lines I could remember. Have had to order original cast recording to learn all the words, it was an unbelievable show and wish I could go back.

Saw this tonight - WOW, what a fantastic production. Close to a full house, all melting together in the sauna that is the Charing Cross Theatre.

By 'eck it was hot in the theatre yesterday afternoon!
An excellent production with a uniformly good cast. Not a weak link, I thought. And they worked bloody hard too, with so many of them with lots of quick costume changes. The ensemble singing was particularly good.
Am looking forward to Ragtime now, if it is going to be of that quality.

That was absolutely beautiful, just stunning.
I loved it's such an ensemble piece, with a simple set but so effective.
I'm in awe, I have seen so many shows I feel flawed, what a beautiful score and I had tears rolling down my face pretty much all through Act 2!!!
Oh and the theatre was very close to full, word is out!! We were row E 1,2,3 and was perfect seating!!!
Wow, why can't this go to The Phoneix!!!
