Bonnie Langford on Good Morning Britain this morning talking about the show, hopefully will get a few more bums on seats! They truly are wheeling her out everywhere at the mo. She is just doing what she sings about on I'm still here.

The stalls front row is included in the TKTS New Year Sale for performances on January 2 - 4 only, including two matinees.
I've sat there already (paid £95) and it is a high stage so not for everyone, but for £50 to be right at the front is a good deal. Plenty of legroom.
I've booked.

Oh sure I just thought it was funny she's the only one getting wheeled out!

Most people have heard of Bonnie for theatre or TV whereas I don't think any of the other cast members will be known by the general public. Plus she comes over well on TV as she is a very likable person.

Anyone know if Jo Riding was off last night? And if so who covered her track?

We’re seeing the matinee of Old Friends today on the 2nd anniversary of Sondheim’s passing. The Pacific Overtures this evening. The last time I saw Stephen in person was here in London. It’s a right celebration.

I was looking for a reasonably decent matinee seat in the first week of January but I can't find any offers (and I had thought there were some). I'm not under 30 unfortunately! Am I missing something?

Am I missing something? They’re not doing offers for the last week of the run because I think they hope to be able to sell the tickets at full price as people should be keen to see it before it ends

Am I missing something? There are lots of seats left for both matinée performances in the first week of January (which, I think, is the final week for this production). I’m guessing it’s too early for discounts at this point. You may have to hold your nerve and wait until nearer the time with Today Tix or TKTS. I’m going in a few weeks and I’m hoping to get rush tickets. This always seems to be reduced on TKTS too. However, given that it’s the final week of performances, the choice for last-minute tickets may be a lot more limited. Good luck!

FWIW the gala film is on again next week. Sun 3rd, BBC4, with the clip-shows ALW at the BBC on before and Sondheim at the BBC on after.

Show tonight was on fire as was the audience (especially post interval booze!!!!) I’m obsessed with seeing the different comedic choices Bernadette makes everytime I come. Her and Bradley were so funny and she made different acting choices than I’ve seen previously. Broadway Baby/Gimmick was a hoot.
Clare is so great and has a huge voice but… why are her vocals so unstable? I’m literally clenching my butt cheeks everytime she sings LWL because she sounds like she could crack any minute. She sounded like she needed to clear her throat (she did) and at one point she coughed before one of the big notes, but to the average audience member it looked like it was part of the act so it was ok. If she didn’t clear her throat she 100% would not have been able to sing the last note. We all still erupted in cheers though.
Bonnie and Gavin both love to showboat but I have to admit there is definitely a time for that in this show. The are masters of subtlety and truth who perform in this show, so equally her showgirlesque nature is definitely welcomed by all my non theatre obsessed friends that I have brought along over the run. People often say she’s a stand out. I myself haven’t got bored of I’m Still Here.

I was in last night. Was that Clare Burt then? Does she wear a blond wig for LWL?

I did wonder because I couldn’t work out who it was. Totally clocked the cough she used to clear whatever was going on in her voice before the big finish. I thought she was good though. Great show altogether, couldn’t decide on my second thing to see for my weekend visit so went for this along with Sunset and I think I made a great choice.

I noticed on show score it’s up there in like the top 3 most highly rated shows in the west end atm (same not true for Sunset).

Thank goodness all the sunheads are too busy looking for online bootleg recordings that they won't read this thread and create lots of dummy profiles to raise their shows ratings.
But great to see this tribute show is getting so highly rated but also seeing how many different performers and songs in the shows are being highlighted as people's favourite moments.
With such a high calibre cast who have so much experience in getting an audience attention and holding in it by their performance alone in the spotlight it seems to mean most of us seeing it have connected with moments on a personal level you just didn't expect.

I thought Jeremy Secombe stood out in an understated way amongst the men. There were no showy, extravagant moments but what a great, solid voice.

Twice I’ve gone to the show and people behind me have said “poor Bernadette she can’t move her face anymore”😫 I noticed it a lot in the beginning but now I think it adds to the comedy lol. I do wonder though as an actor why you would risk getting a face lift when facial expression is so central to your job.
