The only theatres within the Greater London area within the postcodes I searched are The Orange Tree and The Rose in Kingston.

I see the nearest theatre to me is Bury St Edmunds. The irony being that its impossible for me to go to the theatre in Bury St Edmunds because the last train back to Cambridge is before 10pm! I'm also deeply unimpressed that the offer is 2 for 1 as it means single theatregoers like myself are excluded.

The nearest theatre to me in this scheme is an hour by car, and I don't drive.

Nothing in Sheffield or South Yorkshire. I wonder why The Crucible aren’t involved? For these things to work it has to be accessible of course but also has to be productions people want to see and I’m not sure that the offering in Manchester seems very compelling.

This reminds me of a similar half arsed scheme about 10 years ago that offered free tickets to under 25s (I think) but there were barely any available. I worked in a box office at the time so would just give them to people coming in to buy tickets anyway, because nobody else knew about it. It was called something like 'A night less ordinary', does anyone else remember this?

I do the lottery online and get regular messages from them but nothing about the free panto tickets last month and I only found out about it through this forum. Nobody I've mentioned it to subsequently had heard of that promotion.
All applicants received four tickets whereas I only needed one so fewer people were able to benefit ( I gave two of the spares away on the night to two lovely people queueing for the cheap seats and we had a good chat!)

It was called something like 'A night less ordinary', does anyone else remember this? I remember it. Got so many free tickets from it, but then it was very much had to be "in the know" to get them, so whilst it helped me get lots of freebies, it didn't necessarily achieve the goal of getting more (and different) young people into the theatre. This new scheme however seems to be a glorified 2 for 1 offer. Have had a look and nothing in the vicinity to me to even really consider seeing.

I remember that because I went to a one-off free reading of Spur of the Moment by Anya Reiss at the Royal Court to promote it and met Russell Tovey at the bar afterwards as he was one of the actors doing the reading

For my postcode I'm offered St George's Hall in Bradford, 1 hour 10 minutes away, or Leeds Playhouse at 1 hour 60 minutes. That must be why the train feels like it's taking forever!
And if I then click to see what's on offer at the Playhouse, I get "Oops, page not found."

Booking seems to have opened early for some of these. If anyone is interested, it might be worth going to take a look now.

Oh and you can ignore the dates the websites might say booking opens, the codes work now. Eg the Orange Tree says booking starts tomorrow at 10am - entering the code now works.

Interesting location settings, it seems to think Watford is near Northampton.
And as others have said, not much use to me as a single theatregoer. But if it brings other folks to the theatres then good on it.

It does seem to be that not all the venues are added to the site either. E.g the Alex in Birmingham posted today that they are part of it, yet isn't suggested as a venue on the search.

Yes, I get the same for Bath Theatre Royal. Same for Nottingham Playhouse and Leicester Curve Now appeared for both Nottingham and Leicester although a slightly unfortunate thing is the thing that comes up first for the Nottingham Playhouse is actually more of a film.
