Has this been - or is it likely to be - filmed for a cinema 'live' screening? Many previous Bridge production have, and now it is nearing the end of the run, a 2025 cinema showing would be great to look forward to. I'm pretty sure I've heard there are some complicated rights issues when it comes to filming Guys and Dolls, likewise the teased remake of the film has been on and off and one and off for years

I'd heard that the original Bridge cast had been filmed. How much to read in to this, I don't know - it may have just been for socials/promo.

I think it was just for press/socials because it was Broadway-bound at the time but the death of that transfer means it'll probably be on NTatHome by mid-2025 like most Bridge shows.
IDK about the rights issues but the lack of existing proshots of the show makes me wonder where the rights lie.

I believe the screen rights to Guys & Dolls are currently with Sony as they were developing a new film version with Rob Marshall.

Could anyone make a recommendation for eating before or after the show (evening performance). I'm looking at Côte in Hays Galleria beforehand or alternatively The Ivy at Tower Bridge for before or after. If we eat before the show is there any nice bar for a drink afterwards in the vicinity?

The Ivy at Tower Bridge is next door to the theatre, that's where I went when I was seeing G&D. Very nice

Côte is something of a regular haunt and always enjoy their food. Have been to The Ivy at Tower Bridge once - food was excellent, and their prix fixe menu particularly good value, but their service was very slow when we went (may be sorted now, they had a lot of new, inexperienced staff on). Don't know about post-show drink options, but interested to hear of any!

Bit basic, but I haven't been able to resist the smell of the Vapiano's next door both times I've been to the Bridge.

What is the standing experience like for shorter people? I am 5’4 and I’m worried that I will have difficulties seeing the action.

I stood everywhere, in the back, up front in the crowd. It was so easy if there was a tall person in front of me because you can just move about so easily. The only reason I really don't want to do it again is that my poor feet just can't deal with it

I was worried it would be a bit like a concert where it can be difficult to move around, but I should be okay.

Soooo, this happened during the 07/11 Thursday matinee show. *click me*
As the Bridge has now posted it themselves on Instagram and FB, and I hadn't seen anyone mention it in here (what would be the odds of someone from the forum being at that specific show though?) I didn't really want to mention it earlier

Congratulations, moorhunhe . How are you going to top that for your first wedding dance? Thank you! I have something in mind, haha, but I don't know, there's always so many ideas in my head, we'll see Congratulations!! I couldn't think of a better place than on the dance floor. Thanks! Worst part is, I don't dance at all, ever! But we both love seeing shows, so it did just seem like the perfect time to do it. And rather me waiting for him, might as well just do it myself What a wonderful memory to make. Congratulations moorhunhe … now maybe a G&D themed wedding? Thank you! And how fitting also with a show about being engaged/getting married, lol. We may have to incorporate something now though *hmmm*.
