Big cast change from what I understand - think we should expect a casting announcement after the 22nd Jan (there's a LOT being announced next week so any announcements being added now will get lost in the sea of what's to come) What’s being announced next week?

RSC has it's season launch on Tuesday, some other bits of shows and casting, and I think we might be getting Regents Park next week too.

The WOS editor says if I were a bell I'd keep an eye early next week so evidently the announcement is coming in the midst of the rest of the chaos of next week!

Very curious if they’ve tried to get bigger names as replacements to get people excited about the show again.

My vote is Alexandra Silber for Sarah Brown and Moya Angela as Miss Adelaide

Charlie doesn't strike me as a Sky Masterson.

Very much not a Sky!
I'm interested to see what direction they go in with this. The parts are so spectacularly written that it doesn't need to be someone like Marisha to play Adelaide, and it would be good to go in an entirely different direction again (her covers for example are quite different casting types). Sarah is the only one that needs to stick to a similar type but otherwise, all bets are off. Wouldn't be surprised if Owain comes back to play Nathan full time

I think Charlie was just there to see Jack as Sky rather any sort of casting - I don't think Charlie is a Sky type at all. I liked Owain so would not be opposed to him returning. I'm intrigued to see who is cast for this, I wouldn't be surprised if they went in a different direction with casting for the new cast. The understudies I've seen in this cast (Lydia Bannister as Adelaide and Robbie McMillan as Nicely-Nicely) are very different to the principal actors they cover for, so it does work with very different interpretations.

Owain to return as Nathan opposite Timmika Ramsay as Adelaide. George and Celine remain as Sky and Sarah.

Slightly OT, but in other casting news Andrew Richardson’s just been announced as Astrov in Uncle Vanya at the Orange Tree.

5 star production of a 2 star show.
Thought the physical production, direction and choreography were outstanding. Incredibly exciting.
But the piece itself? What a load of hokey old rubbish. I zoned out after the first hour. Totally not my kind of musical. It literally had nothing to say

I have not seen this production so am not in a position to comment but your stand and have to keep moving it sounds like Here Lies Love at The National a couple of years back. ! 9 years ago!

I'm booking for this before the cast change, and was just wondering if there are any days when Daniel Mays and Marisha Wallace are due not to perform
(Obviously it isn't guaranteed etc. but I was just wondering if anyone knew of any pre-booked NAs) I can't see anything on the Bridge website, other than "We are unable to guarantee the appearance of any cast member on any given date" but do they usually perform the 8 shows a week ?
Thank you

I'm looking at booking some seated tickets for my family for this before the cast change––does anyone have thoughts if there is a preferred side of the round to be on if seated? Not sure if they play to one side more than others or if one side has better views of the different platforms. Any advice much appreciated.
