Thanks Mark. I was looking at discounts with London Theatre week. That's really helpful. theatregeek That's exactly what I've been struggling with. Even discounted, it feels like quite a lot of money to spend so I'm always a bit wary when they're marked as restricted as most of the discounted seats are. Will definitely have a look at Seatplans. Thanks very much, both of you.

I'm going to be in London in September and was hoping to see this. We wouldn't manage standing for the whole show so couldn't take advantage of the TodayTix rush but can anyone advise on best value and where to go for in the seated areas? There do seem to be some fairly big discounts but only on restricted view seats, although I can't get a sense of how restricted they are. Any advice would be greatly appreciated (have already had a quick look at the Theatre Monkey website). I was in Gallery 1 seat SS8 (opposite the orchestra) and although marked 'may have to lean forwards', overall it was a very good seat. The very bottom left hand corner of the stage was out of sight, which meant you couldn't see the actors for maybe three to five minutes of the first act. There were also other occasional moments when the actors heads were obscured by the neon signs that are part of the set. For the rest of though it offered a lovely clear view, particularly as the platforms they use to elevate the actors above the standing audience put them almost at eye level with us, so it was more like being in the third row of the stalls.
I've also heard good things from people who've sat in Gallery 2 as well, (minus the seats with warnings about the cold air, as they apparently get so cold some people have given up and left during the interval).

There are usually quite a few free seats, so I'm sure you could move.
I was sat right next to the main one though. The show is AMAZING!

Is Celinde in this until the current February end date? Also, does anyone know of any holidays or performances that she does not do? Sorry, I can’t seem to find this information on the Bridge website, but am desperate to see her as Sarah Brown after her glorious turn in LOVE NEVER DIES. Just asking this again, in case anyone knows anything.

Not sure how often Simon Anthony goes on as Nicely Johnson or who he even is (sorry), but last night he was on and it was probably the best understudy performance I’ve ever seen. His “rocking the boat” feels groundbreaking and even better than the original cast member I saw a while ago.

I went last night in the standing pit and thought this was absolutely wonderful. I think the real heroes are the stage managers for keeping everyone in the right place - I lived in fear of accidentally standing on a podium and being lifted up but it never happened!
I really liked Owain Arthur as Nathan - great comic timing considering he's relatively new to the role and he reminded me a lot of Nathan Lane in terms of his facial expressions
I also thought the understudy Nicely Nicely was good although seemed a bit young for the role perhaps (and not really a 'fat waterbuffalo!). I was a bit sad to have missed Cedric Neal as I'm a huge fan of his and would have loved to have seen what he'd have done with 'Sit Down'.
I was able to easily get a TodayTix rush ticket a few hours before the show.

Saw this last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Went for stalls CC in the end (thanks to all those who gave seating advice) and didn't miss anything. It is so cleverly done with the sections raising and lowering although my only slight criticism would be that the shepherding of the audience was a bit distracting at times. Marisha Wallace was perfect as Adelaide. We had understudies for Sarah and Nicely Nicely and both were excellent. I had a stupid grin on my face for most of the performance.

Both performances cancelled today due to cast illness. Had not long got myself a rush ticket when the text came through I was supposed to see the show that day ( I most likely won't manage to come back to London in time to catch it with the current closing date (February). Any chance of extending it further? I've read here that it's not selling as well as it used to and Feb is still far away, so I would assume not.

No recent news on a cast recording? I was thinking the same today. Thought I read somewhere it was being released on 15th September but guess that's not happening.

No recent news on a cast recording? Well, it must be out soon as Musicals Magazine are reviewing it in their next issue which I believe comes out 29th September.

But will there be an actual CD? I asked this as I have a huge CD collection of musicals, told “no plans”.

Another dissenting opinion from me. I thought this was a decent production of Guys & Dolls (a musical I admittedly don’t love). After the glowing recommendations of so many, I did the standing immersive seats. I really enjoyed the first little bit but I got so tired of being pushed and prodded around. There were so many members of the stage crew and I didn’t think they could keep coming out with more set pieces. After a while, I moved to the outer ring to avoid having to move so much, and then crews started grabbing stuff from underneath a curtain on the outer ring.
Maybe it was because I was tired from walking around all day, but grabbed a seat for the second half. I wanted to pay attention to the show, but every time I was getting into it, a scene change would start and take me right out of it. Also, didn’t love some of the tempo changes, especially “Sit Down”. But what do I know, the audience was eating it up.
Also, I don’t know if this is actually immersive—just because it’s in the round, standing and moving around doesn’t mean it’s immersive. It’s a unique staging, but not necessarily immersive.
Marisha Wallace is a star.

I have not seen this production so am not in a position to comment but your stand and have to keep moving it sounds like Here Lies Love at The National a couple of years back.
