Hi all, I'm seeing this tonight and can't wait! How long before it starts would people recommend arriving? It there a preshow or anything I'd want to be there for before the show starts? Thanks

I would maybe go about 10 mins before - but they do give announcements over the tannoy. If you go then you can get more of the atmosphere.
During the interval, there is singing and tap dancing.

Does anyone know when the cast recording will be released?
I saw this at the weekend and I echo all the rave reviews its getting, it is amazing! I can't wait to hear the music all over again, especially Cedric Neal who has an incredible voice - although I am a bit gutted I went out at the interval and missed the entertainment so had to watch some YouTube recordings.
Also I really loved being at the Bridge for the first time, such a great venue and surrounding area at Tower Bridge and would love to go back to see something else there (or would be more than happy if Guys & Dolls stayed around longer than February!).

So funny, I was thinking this today. I only have an old recording on Spotify to listen to, which is good but I want this one!

They have already recorded it. I think it comes out on the 15th September. Whether it's download only or a CD as well I'm not sure.

Apparently Bryan Cranston was in the audience last night. The producers apparently have exclusive rights to open this production on Broadway (Kennedy Center tried to do a revival but was denied) and they already have in mind who their Nathan Detroit is going to be... Finding a suitable venue will be the real challenge, there's not many in NY like the Bridge Theatre.

Wow, how exciting.
I was thinking about the show again last night, and suddenly it came to me. The new Nathan Detroit - Owain Arthur - reminds me of Stan Laurel.

If this were ever to transfer it would have to look much different than it does right now.

I'm traveling from Belgium to see some shows in September and was hoping to go and see Guys and Dolls. I just saw that Todaytix is selling 'immersive standing tickets' for £25 each. Does anyone know whether the locations are different from the ones that are being sold on the Bridge Theatre's website? The deal almost seemed too good to be true. Thanks in advance, all your posts really inspire me to plan out my theatre trips.

It’s all one place and indeed a very good deal, I guess they use the rush to fill up the standing spots.
I went yesterday and the standing was much less crowded than when I’d gone in previews, which made for a really wonderful experience. Shows in top form.

Definitely get the immersive tickets from TodayTix - it’s an absolute bargain and as long as you don’t mind the standing it’s a brilliant spot to experience the show from. If you scroll back up this thread there’s lots of helpful tips on where in the auditorium to stand too.

The theatre seemed almost half empty tonight. So many empty seats and the floor seemed very empty in patches at times. Not sure how much if that had to do with both Celinde and Marisha being out but it’s the first time I’ve seen the show where it hasn’t been a completely packed house.

Don’t think it’s the hot ticket it was. I went to a Thursday matinee about two weeks ago, on a standing rush ticket. I was in London around Easter and tried several times with no luck. Didn’t expect to get a ticket this time either, especially as I lost track of time and didn’t try until 10.10. Got one straight away though.
Wasn’t massively busy in the standing part either, but I found that much better actually than when I went to Julius Caesar and A Midsummer Night’s Dream as it meant you had much more freedom to move about. Made being on your feet for three hours much more bearable than at the other two shows.

There were several seats unfilled (although the floor was packed) when I went last month and that was at a show with Celinde and Marisha.

It’s the hols and we are becoming more and more French in one respect - we abandon the capital in August.

Dry empty standing area, lots of empty seats in the stalls and circles.

Is Celinde in this until the current February end date? Also, does anyone know of any holidays or performances that she does not do? Sorry, I can’t seem to find this information on the Bridge website, but am desperate to see her as Sarah Brown after her glorious turn in LOVE NEVER DIES.

I'm going to be in London in September and was hoping to see this. We wouldn't manage standing for the whole show so couldn't take advantage of the TodayTix rush but can anyone advise on best value and where to go for in the seated areas? There do seem to be some fairly big discounts but only on restricted view seats, although I can't get a sense of how restricted they are. Any advice would be greatly appreciated (have already had a quick look at the Theatre Monkey website).

I booked yesterday for September too and was getting in a muddle with how good or bad the discounted seats are. I used Seatplans where people have posted photos and comments about the views. Very helpful and I got £45 seats on TodayTix which were about £78 last week.
