One of the best productions and unique staging of a musical ever seen (and have seen many so far:) A must see I think for both musical theatre lovers as people who want to discover theatre and this amazing venue! Hope to catch the show a second time and quite sure I'll discover more things during a second watch of this clever adaptation. It also made me realise that next to the many central West End sublime shows, there are so much more jewels of productions to discover, at such great location close to the river.

Fingers crossed, I’d love a cast recording of this. Surely it should be a live recording if possible though rather than a studio one? I feel like that would be more authentic to the experience this show creates, but not sure if it’d be possible.

Marisha has just posted a Tweet and picture of them in the recording studio.

I've been very lucky with my Guys and Dolls. So lucky in fact, that I came to believe that it is just impossible to ruin this show – it seems unruinable. I don't think I will ever forget Imelda Staunton as Adelaide, or Clive Rowe as Nicely-Nicely Johnson, or Ewan McGregor and Jamie Parker as Sky, but this production feels unbeatable, and I find it hard to believe I will ever see a better or more exciting one. For one thing, there was such energy flowing from the stars to the audience and the other way around. Everyone was obviously having such tremendous fun, and this is why I thought it was a genius idea to turn this production into an immersive one. The show was basically turboed by the vibrancy of an audience delighted in being part of the magic burning on “stage”. I could see people dancing, smiling, clapping, and just having a great time. The cast was exceptional, even Sister Sarah, a usually thankless role of a normal person eclipsed by the colourfulness of all other characters, was made interesting. With so many great shows in London this year, it will be difficult to pick a winner for the Oliviers in 2024.

Can someone find out if Nick has paid the SOLT membership because currently I don't think this is eligible It really would be a crying shame if the show can’t be recognised at the Oliviers because of this. It’s worthy of a whole host of nominations and a fair few winners depending who they’re up against.

Hi all, I'm finally planning a trip to see this. My max budget for a ticket is £39.50 and I'm currently a bit bamboozled by the seating options (can't do standing unfortunately).
Across the dates I'm looking at, the following £39.50 seats are currently available . Can anyone let me know which sounds best?
Gallery 2 Row A Seats 48 and 49 and Seats 29 and 30 (not marked as restricted view) Gallery 1 Row B Seats 53 and 54 and 21 and 22 (marked as restricted view and airvent behind seat - how bad is the restricted view? Is it worth it to be a level below Gallery 2?)
There are also plenty of £29 seats all across Row B in Gallery 2 across the dates I'm looking at. How much worse are they than the £39.50 seats or is the difference negligible?
Thanks so much in advance for any advise you can give a very confused theatregoer.

My understanding was that all 5 leads had contracts with options to extend if the show extended.

Apologies if this question has already been answered but does anyone know how long the current cast is signed up until?

There was a show stop tonight with George Ioannides taking over as Sky from Andrew Richardson about halfway through act one.

It's interesting - I saw the show twice and the second time he was in MUCH stronger voice. It could just be that he isn't used to the vocal rigours of sustaining a run since this is, astonishingly, his professional stage debut. Shame coz he's brilliantly cast in the part.

We went to see this last night and echo all the good things that people on here have said about it. Andrew Richardson was on as Sky, for those concerned about his health. For anyone unable to stand (that is certainly true of me) and looking for a reasonably priced ticket I can recommend the ones we had. They were in Gallery 1, CC18 and 19 and cost £55 each. The tickets state that you may need to lean forward but we didn't, except for the odd moment. They are the opposite end of the auditorium to the band so you get a view of them, if that's of interest. The seats immediately in front of ours are marked as £95 and the ones in front of those are £125. It's hard to see how they are worth so much more money. Leg room isn't brilliant but my partner who is 6ft 4" was still able to walk at the end of the evening which is always a bonus! We had some excitement on the way there as as we headed across Tower Bridge from Tower Hill station we had to stop, as the bridge was raised to let a boat through. The first time this has ever happened to me in my whole life of being born, raised and living in the East End. Fortunately we'd left plenty of time to get to the theatre. For those taking this route it is also possible at the moment to get a view of the magnificent Superbloom in the Tower of London moat. Colourful by daytime and quite spooky as we headed home at the end of the show.
