CHF once posted a video about the Heathers quick change how it was done. Panto dames certainly use a lot of velcro. The BGT girl took this to another level similar to the great Arturo Brachetti who I can rememver seeing on TV way back in the late 1980's and he has done several London runs over the years.
Arturo like the BGT girl used certain magic tricks and other magicians have done the quick change as part of a routine. Whether some of these tricks have worked their way down to theatres for onstage changes I don't know. Otherwise it is very tightly timed and lots of layers, clothing that could be dropped off, double sided, double purpose clothes which the wardrobe dept do their "magic" on.
