Glad you enjoyed it Daniel. It is a feelgood show that does what it says on the tin. It gives you a great night out with great music and dancing.

Is it the best musical, no not by any stretch of the imagination! But I don't care! I had a smile on my face the whole time, I was crying laughing at some points, you leave literally dancing! I had such a blast!

I make no secret of or apologies for the fact I adore Footloose the musical (and the film) so I'm loving that you had a lovely time. I love me some epic life changing theatre with the best of them. But I also love a night where I can switch off and have fun...and for me Footloose does that. And yes Gareth's Gates is bloody funny in it.

And I actually think he was good on a general performance level, not just for this specific show! Like, you don't see Gareth at all in his protrayal! He was miles ahead of some of the others in the cast, he really surprised me. And when the two girls rip off his outfit to reveal his little bootyshorts, that just solidified my love of it even more! I just accepted his character for who he was, but oviously his character at the start apears quite intovert an lonely, a bit of a loveable outsider, do we actually know if there is any emotional or mental ssues written in the character, maybe explained more in the film? Or do we just acdept him as he is? Because I did, I'm curious as to whether there is anything deeper within?

Damn, I so nearly went to this last night - sounds as though I shouldn't have hesitated and had better find another slot before it closes. Thing was, standby seats were still £25 (but cheaper than TKTS) and when I went to check, I'd still have had about 90 minutes to kill, so it was easier just to see another film and go home that bit earlier. But next time I'll stick it out and hope to be dancing in the aisles.

Footloose - with Gareth Gates - is touring again next year. Already on sale at ATG venues.
Can't find a full list of dates yet but Wimbledon may well be the first as it opens there on a Friday (24 April 2020)

This is great news! Footloose holds a special place in my heart as it was the first musical I ever saw (it was an amateur production). I've never seen it in English though! Fingers crossed it will come to Yorkshire!

I'm sure it's nothing Paul Mathew's haven't encountered before (is that a double negative?), but Barnstaple to Sunderland, and Aberdeen to Brighton, are, I imagine, quite challenging journeys, especially with opening nights being on a Monday, rather than Tuesday.

So the Karen Bruce version of this was sensational. Such a feel good show and the dancing was just off the scale.
Sadly the more recent actor-muso version was cheap cheap cheap; made Kenwright look lavish. (Think was Sella Door? Never quite sure why people rave about them so much as in terms of cash thrown about they really are no better than Uncle Bill). Assume this is that same production?
Anyway, a great score and a show with heart that even on the cheap is still enjoyable. And coming to my local in Brighton so have booked. Another one of these Stalls ATG 'price promise' 13 quid seats. Does all seem to be good to be true! Does anyone know if we are deffo entitled to these 13 quid things and it's not an ATG system error lol?!?!

Yep, I have several sat on my pinboard awaiting use for Heathers, Mamma Mia & Mormon. If its stuff you’ve seen before I think its a great way of filling the house without openly discounting.

A little unkind, perhaps danbI thought this was a well established fact? My lack of kindness that is.

Oh dear. This isn't very inspiring. Looks like it going to be the awful actor/musician production like last time.

Oh it wouldn't have been a problem for us, we would have got it there by about 9 am ready for a ten am get in

Got tickets for Brighton in June.
Assume this is gonna be another 'rona casualty!?
Edit - the official website still lists Wimbledon this week (and all future dates from this week) as happening lol.

This performance in Wimbledon is one I did get an email from ATG about 2 or 3 weeks ago saying it would be rescheduled. A change from the usual voucher. Quite a few shows waiting to be rescheduled. Lucky I'm very trusting.

The things you learn from checking your ATG account. Apparently, I am now seeing this at Wimbledon on 8 March 2021. But no sign of this new date on the venue page.
That along with two gift vouchers for cancellations I wasn't aware of, as well as some other shows just having disappeared off my Upcoming Shows page without notification, which I've no idea if that means they've been cancelled, postponed or what.

I have just noticed the same. 2 vouchers have appeared and one forthcoming show has disappeared although no voucher issued. I tried calling them earlier but gave up. For such a large company they really do have such bad service and systems.
