Abba could record a large majority of their back catalogue in this medium and then just send it out every year with a different setlist and they're laughing all the way to the bank. Not that Benny and Bjorn need it by now. That's very true. And I'd go to every one.

Well it's been confirmed that many more songs than the 22 song set list were motion-captured, so there is every possibility the show will adapt, or songs will be swapped out.

My apologies, I wasn't aware of that. There are so few bands or artists who could do this kind of project, and I like ABBA, but it just feels like too much like a cash grab. But of course, there is a huge market for it and good for them for investing what is obviously an awful lot of money into it.

New tickets on sale up to December. My parents were really keen to go so I bought them two of the £32 tickets.

I didn’t think I was bothered about this but I just found out that ‘The Visitors’ was in the set so I have caved and will now be spending Big Liz’s birthday in the company of the Abbatars. I’m really quite excited now.

I'm going on the 4th June. Booked the day tickets went on sale. It was only later I realised it was Jubilee weekend. Anyway going with a friend who is coming down from Manchester and we are doing the flower thingie at Tower of London, ABBA and cinderella all on the same day. It will be exhausting fun.

Bit concerned that the venue is still just a piece of bare land when I look on Google Earth 😂

I live in Stratford and can assure all those concerned that the venue looks very finished - at least from the outside!

I can second that. I was there 3 weeks ago taking some pics and can also confirm it looks very much finished and ready. Sorry I don't know how to download pics on here otherwise I would to show you all. http://instagram.com/p/Cc5sNaZo8bz

Do you normally wear a minature cable car pylon on your head, alece10, or is it something you save for special occasions? 🙂

With the concert opening soon, as a bit of fun I was putting together a set list of songs I would love to hear. What set lists would other board members like to see?
My set list -
1. Dancing Queen 2. Mamma Mia 3. S.O.S 4. The Winner Takes It All 5. Money, Money, Money 6. Thankyou For The Music 7. Take A Chance On Me 8. Knowing Me, Knowing You 9. Fernando 10. Angel Eyes 11. The Day Before You Came 12. Waterloo 13. I Still Have Faith In You 14. Does Your Mother Know 15. Lay All Your Love On Me 16. Voulez-Vous 17. Ring Ring 18. Gimme! Gimme! Gimme 19. Super Trouper 20. The Name of The Game

I always loved when Benny played Intermezzo No 1, there's some great footage of that in ABBA The Movie. I hope it makes an appearance.
This is a purely cynical thought, but does anybody think they recorded more songs than we will see initially in the show? Then a few months down the line they can say 'New Songs Added To Set, Book Again!"

I think that there will obviously be all of the big hits, but I’m happy to hear that the two singles from Voyage are in there, and the previously mentioned ‘The Visitors’. I’d love to hear some of the cracking album tracks from Voulez Vouz and hopefully Summer Night City which is a bit of an underated gem in my opinion.

I'd be surprised if both 'The Visitors' and 'Summer Night City' were on the setlist. The chorus melodies in those two songs are pretty similar and I think that hearing them both in one evening would make that rather obvious.

Bjorn has spoken publicly about how much he dislikes Summer Night City, but I’d love to see it on the set list, it’s one of my favourites.

The Visitors and Summer Night City have completely different moods, one threatening and sinister, the other joyous and celebratory. No reason why they couldn't be in the same set list.

Here's hoping they've planned some seasonal themed encores for some shows - a Pretty Vacant/God Save The Queen medley for the bank holiday weekend, maybe Bela Lugosi's Dead for Halloween

Two weeks to go .. The ABBA voyage Twitter has posted a new clip giving more details, 10 live musicians, 291 speakers, 870 watts of audio amplification but more interesting say it contains 20 ABBA songs down two from previous information.
At least we know for the first run the set list is fully ABBA approved which is why we will hopefully get some surprises like the visitors. In time I am sure it will become more of a greatest hits show as the control goes from ABBA the band to ABBA the corporation.
As the vocals are meant to be from original records and that they can tweak the Abbatars program it will be interesting to see if when it opens in Spanish speaking countries they use the Gracias pour la musica album vocals which will allow half the concert to be in Spanish and should go down a storm in South America. Even for France and Germany they could do their own language version of Waterloo. Things which could never have been done by ABBA live.
In the week of Eurovision it's amazing to think the winners from 48 years ago are now one of the greatest pop acts ever, and are pioneers of breakthrough technology along side star wars special effects company ILM securing their future performances for decades to come.

48 years ago? God that makes me feel so old. I remember vividly watching it on TV.
