They don't really pretend it's live anymore, everyone knows it isn't. Scraping the barrel does seem the appropriate description for the calibre of "celebrity" this year - not sure I would use that word to describe even half of them... Don't we say that every year, every Big Brother, Jungle show etc I don't as Strictly is the only reality show I watch! Greg Wise is a decent signing though, at last!

Greg Wise has potential to do well. His looks won't hurt him with voters...

Greg Wise a very good signing for Strictly.
I'll have to watch it on playback this year though so I can always skip over Dan Walker. Isn't it bad enough he dragged down their Olympic coverage.

Nina Wadia looks like an entertaining signing I'm surprised they've never asked Nina Wadia before.

12th to be announced after Eastenders at 8pm, so assuming it's a cast member.
Not sure how many we're expecting in total?

We haven't got a sports person or a person with a disability yet - two groups normally represented in the line up.
I think we will get 15 or 16 in the end. They need to factor in at least one couple having to withdraw...
Also Nina Wadia is a (former) Eastenders actor so I doubt we will get another one

Was wrong about the EastEnders thing
No.12 on the list is Rose Ayling-Ellis from EastEnders. She will be the first deaf contestant on the show

I think the line up this year is one of the most uninspiring they have ever had, I can barely muster any excitement for it and I can't remember feeling this way about it.
To be fair though I've still enjoyed the series in the past where I've not thought much to the celebs beforehand in the end, you go on the journey with them and get to know them and root for them.

Yeah you'll be fine because you go on a journey with the celebs

Every year I say 'who?' re a number of participants (three at the latest count), but a couple of weeks in I'm happily calling them by their first names and getting totally involved!

Today is the final 3 reveals 12.45 on Radio 1 1.00 on Loose Women 10pm on The Lateish Show So a DJ, a Loose Woman panellist and whoever is involved with The Lateish Show (which I had never heard of until now!) then? How uninspiring.

Let's wait and see, it may be a guest appearing on the show rather than someone actually involved in the show.

It's a shame Charlene White is too busy with ITV News and Loose Women as she'd be good to see on the show.

We're getting close now! Last Night of the Proms next Saturday, with the launch show the weekend after.
Looking at Craig's panto schedule, the final will be on 18 December.
