Please move if I have posted in wrong place
Anyone planning on going to see this?
Its the 50th anniversary concerts of this iconic music.
I grew up listening to Tubular Bells and fancied a trip down memory lane. Mentioned it to my theatre mate fully expecting her to say it wasn't her thing and she said yes straight away. Apparently she grew up to it as well.
Plenty of decent price seats available.
Feel its going to be full of people of a certain age trying to relive the 70s - just like me!

I was excited because I thought Mike himself would be appearing onstage - a complaint quite a few people seem to have made online. They don't make it very clear that it is an orchestra playing his music.

Booked a ticket, understood when booked that it wasn’t with Mike Oldfield, a great piece of music that I always wanted to hear live.

Talkingheads, I think it was quite clear that he wasn't going to be there. When I was going to book my friend asked the same question so I checked the Southbank website and there is no mention of him being there at all. So think people have misread things. It would have been great but I'm just looking forward to hearing it live.

I won’t be going.
But did see Mike Oldfield many years ago 20+ in the Royal Albert Hall.
