I wonder if this production will use 'Why Should I wake Up'? It was cut in the Sam Mendes productions. I really like the song and hope it's included. It's seems odd that Cliff only gets 1 verse in Perfectly Marvelous and a few lines at the end, without it. Also, I think It should be moved to Act 1, after Perfectly Marvelous, as a 'morning after' song once Sally moves in. A friend and I disagree on this, he thinks it's dull and slows down the show. I completely agree that Cliff deserves a song, much of the narrative is framed from his point of view and so to have just a few lines here and there doesn’t feel right. Although I must say I do think Why Should I Wake Up is far from my favourite in the score and my preference would be for Cliff to sing Don’t Go from the 1987 revival, which I think is completely gorgeous. In fact, I prefer most of the 1987 score on the whole to what we’ve gotten as of late - the combined version of Sitting Pretty and The Money Song is also a highlight.

Worth checking back now all tickets up for sale if you were put off by limited range and high prices. While November full booked some shows the two weeks after Christmas show green for available and most 2022 dates have tickets from £30.

It was reintroduced at the production that ran at the Savoy. Matt Rawle was Cliff, and there was a subtle focus on Cliff more than Sally in this updated Rufus Norris version.

Now there's a name from the past! What's Matt up to nowadays? Seems to have disappeared from West End, like Vivienne Carlyle and loads of others who are everywhere then vanish.

Why is the w/c 6 December off sale for Cabaret? Is that press week? Will they go on sale later?

I've been away all week but just booked a fairly central single seat in stalls row H for £70, with no booking or transaction fee, for a pre-Christmas matinee.
Wouldn't want a table seat or food/drink so that's a much better deal than I expected to get for such a hot ticket show several days into booking.
(As showtoones notes the ATG website states there will be no shows after Saturday 4 December until resuming on Wednesday 15 December. Wonder why ?)

Presumably either Redmayne or Buckley have another commitment they can't get out of?

I assumed it was to get the press in and also then sell any other tickets with a bit of publicity. Maybe, if not jinxed, a gala night or nights similar to Cinderella for freedom day.

Jessie has two films due out at some point. Maybe the break is for her to undertake some promotion for one of them. Eddie doesn’t seem to have any films due out till 2022.

From the drawings it does look that way, except the last row of tables has gaps between the pairs of seats, so I guess it depends where your seat is in relation to the gap

I'd expect something mid September, shortly before this goes into rehearsals

Does anyone know if the Playhouse in-the-round redevelopment is permanent or just for this production of Cabaret?

Does anyone know if the Playhouse in-the-round redevelopment is permanent or just for this production of Cabaret? Don't quote me but I think the building application mentioned something about future productions so could be semi permanent.

I've been in a complete bubble where I've not been fully aware of everything. So I knew Cabaret was coming, but I wasn't aware of the ticket situation or that it was a big thing. I've been on a booking thing these past few days and wanted to get on this and realised what I'd been missing.
Anyway, managed to get some tickets for next year.

Just had the ATG email about more tickets. Now booking up to April 16th. Eddie and Jessie still listed as appearing on all the run.
