The concert at the ENO had a better set than the last 'fully staged' tour! Where is the tour going? I would disagree - the original tour has a great set. Less so the mansion, but Schwab's and Paramount were done far better than the ENO

Mmmmmm - Fully staged, but think you guys will be disappointed if you expect to see the glorious floating mansion. Also thought they would have done this as there Christmas Musical, instead of the bland Scrooge, another good excuse to swerve the Curve this Christmas, like I did with Grease. But saying that I will be heading back up to Leicester for this. There's no way Curve would do a Christmas show again that really only has appeal to adults. They tried it with Chicago, which whilst extremely well received, obviously didn't get a family crowd it - neither would Sunset.

I have to say I love the artwork for the production, very imaginative.

Scrooge is a real Chrismassy show and should do well at the box office. It is a rather unremarkable musical though.

Except we want turbans. Sue TURBANS! We DO want turbans. We want lots of turbans. We want turbans everywhere! What super news - this really has brightened up my horrible day at work. Thank you! (Would I be pushing my luck if I said I also want La Close as understudy/alternate?...not that I'm bitter and still cry myself to sleep at nights).

Maybe the can copy The Girls' lead and stick em all over the front of the Theatre.

I'm really interested in this.
However, I'm a Curve 'virgin' and wondered what we could expect in the way of an orchestra? As for the Set, are we looking at a set of Step Ladders?!..

This Norma Desmond is quite young so no need for an escalator this time.

It all depends on the production. I rather doubt on this occasion much will be basic or cheap about it (and generally full Curve productions aren't anyway, despite what some of the awful snobbery you see on here may have people think.) People also seem to be forgetting this is not a full Curve production, this is a co production with Micheal Harrison, David Ian...and Really Useful (so basically ALW himself). It all seems to me pointing to this being a high quality production in every aspect.

Not bothering with New York Sue? x I'd love to see her but finances don't allow at present and I have a total lack of interest in going to NY and Broadway... other than that though...!

So gutted it's not coming to Plymouth as it's my favourite musical.
I guess a two hour drive to Bristol is on the cards!

They did say it is going to add cities.
The tour doesn't really go near me also, except for Southend which is an hour drive and a hefty toll charge.
See it is staying outside the M25, so maybe looking at a West End revival.
Also with a guaranteed tour, the production budget should be higher, well higher than the actor/musician Watermill production that played the West End, to be fair that one was cheap it was Bill Kenwright after all, but also it was done very well.

It probably looked cheap because the Watermill is TINY! Not enough room to swing a cat there.... ....which is why they went for a different ALW musical.
