I’d already booked a show each, added an extra one which will be Gina if I’m reading the plan correctly. Such an amazing show, I was genuinely moved (and not by a rotating auditorium). I don’t know if this show has a life planned after Chichester but the scale and technical side is so much more than I expected. I knew the cast would smash it but it’s huge.

Do we know which of them is going to be in the streaming version? I assume it’s already been filmed with Gina Beck?

Pretty sure it's already been filmed because if you look on the website and go to the streaming version of the show and look at cast it's got the exact cast as a couple of people aren't there and also it's got just two children.

Gorgeous production! I’d seen a touring version back in 2007 maybe, so it’s been a while. Act one is particularly slick with all the wonderful numbers. Act two is slower and the plot seems slightly rushed but a standout “This Nearly Was Mine” was the highlight of the evening.
Well worth the 3 hr roundtrip!

Looking forward to it a great deal. Never been in the CFT. Spent a dull day in Chichester once waiting for my daughter at a uni interview. Is there a Greggs?

Mark, great to hear you had a great time watching this. It’s definitely worth the trek to the CFT. Did you get a decent seat in the end?

Mark, great to hear you had a great time watching this. It’s definitely worth the trek to the CFT. Did you get a decent seat in the end? We were in side stalls row D55/56 and for the price the view was excellent. A few moments where it certainly felt “side on” but majority of the time I felt they used the space very well so it was restricted.

danb, Greggs is near the Cathedral on North street. Bali Pie ‘Steak Slice’ very difficult to place rhyme-wise😂 NB- update: steak slice & flat white imbibed, now sat on a bench watching pensioners being greeted like old friends by the FOH team. This is lovely.

What a gorgeous theatre and a gorgeous show. As relevant today as it was in 1949. Gina Beck’s Nelly trying to come to terms with what she was feeling re:race broke my heart a little bit. Not a weak link in the cast. Julian Ovenden & Rob Houchen in the same show was vocally just too much. A total eargasm. So lovely to see Jo Ampil again too. Fantastic. Oh and the £10 front row side seats were a marvel. I was expecting a high stage, not a knee high giant revolve.

I’ve not bought a stream ticket before, does anyone know how they work? Do I have to watch it at the exact time or do a get like a 24 hours window to watch it in?

Never done one of these live stream things before. Is it me or is £20 a little steep for essentially a one time viewing? Could it not be you get to keep the performance at that price?
Oh, also, is the £40 multiple viewer thing just a "goodwill" option? They couldn't possibly know how many people are watching... unless the surveillance state really has taken over, and there are ninja CFT agents peeking through my windows. More fool them, I live on the top floor and I'm armed with a super soaker...

More fool them, I live on the top floor and I'm armed with a super soaker... It’s all to do with rights. They would have had to get permission to stream it and that wouldn’t come cheap. Hope Mill last year were only allowed to sell the same number of streams for Rent as seats they could have filled. The rights owners will have insisted that its view only otherwise it’s effectively like a DVD release and that comes with other implications like paying the orchestra and actors. As you say the multiple viewer thing really does seem to rely on a lot of goodwill.
