Ah, so it is the same performance being streamed each time. I suppose that'll save me some money only seeing it once then.

But it will be the same stream. I got the distinct impression it would be 'LIVE' - Romantics Anonymous for example. Beggars can't be choosers, I am just happy to see this show in any way possible, it's one of my favourite R&H musicals.

They won't do it but I wish they'd stream performances with Gina Beck as well as Alex Young.

It will be Gina Beck as they are filming a performance in July to stream on the dates advertised Yes, it will. I just wanted there to be streamed versions with both seeing as they're sharing the role and will both be amazing!

Email tonight from the CFT - To comply with the regulations, we need to reduce the capacity of South Pacific performances from 5-17 July in order to maintain the mandatory social distancing.
The date of your booking falls within the affected period of time. We are working as quickly as possible through all affected bookings and will be in touch with you very shortly to offer you a range of available option.
Fingers crossed I'll still get to see this in person, if not at least a streamed version is an option.

Going on the 15th but not received anything so far. Going to be difficult as its pretty much sold out as far as I'm aware and I'm booked for matinee. Can only do matinee as live in London and can't get back after evening show on train.

Hopefully my ticket will stand, if not, it is a streamed performance later on in the run

CFT was selling all performances as limited capacity (at around 70%) there was clarity on the restrictions, as well as a number of fully socially distanced performances. They rather sensibly stopped selling performances between 5-19 July sometime last week (or rather they showed them as sold out) with the exception of the two socially distanced performance which are still on sale. If these performance had genuinely sold out then that's around 250 seats per performance too many, however for most performance after 19 July there are still quite a lot of of seats, so fingers crossed that was the case before too. Hopefully by anticipating today's announcement they will be able to give most people the option of staying in their booked performance albeit in different seats, or swapping to a later performance.
Well done to them for being prepared for the change, and also being very front footed in the communications.

I’ve managed to get the same date and front row but on the other side the stage. Very happy I’ll still get to see this. I’ll see you there on the 15th July matinee.

Just got my e-mail, also decided to stick with same date and ended up with very similar seats on the opposite side of the auditorium.
Kudos to all the Box Office staff (across the land) grappling with this re-arranging of everybody's seats malarkey, it must be a right headache to organise.

Looks like they've moved everyone around now, all the performances with the socially-distanced seating for the first two weeks are back on sale.

First night last night and it was glorious. It was great to be back in that big space seeing a big musical - cast of 30. Julian Ovenden did a speech at the end talking about what a tough time it has been, everyone was very emotional. They also gave 150 tickets to NHS staff too, which got a massive round of applause. As Julian said - Theatre in Chichester is back!

As Julian said - Theatre in Chichester is back! I'm there next week. How did it look and sound? Really good. It was the first preview, but I didn't notice any mishaps. They make full use of the revolve, the whole stage spins and spins, they must get dizzy! This is a very traditional South Pacific, no massive gimmicks, just a good old classic musical. Bloody Mary is hilarious and Rob Houchen is an excellent, very earnest Cable. In fact, the whole cast are certainly in fine voice. The costume dept must be having a nightmare as Gina Beck is now very obviously pregnant. I hope they've included some elastic waistbands, she's still going to be there till 23rd Aug. I'm going back next Tuesday for press night, this time with a side stalls seat, so it will be interesting to see if anything has changed and how the view differs. I think this is going to do well.

Thanks for the info. Julian Ovenden and Rob Houchen are 2 of my favourite singers. We have been moved from centre stalls to side stalls so will be interested to hear what the view is like from there. I wonder if they are thinking of a transfer at some point as its not been done in the westend for a long time.

I would say about 10:30, but it started a few mins late and Julian's speech at the end was about 5-10 mins, so it's probably going to be trimmed back from that.

Went last night and as mentioned above this is quite glorious and is definitely West End quality and ready. Ovenden and Houchen’s voices are sublime with their tone as is Joanna Ampil as Bloody Mary. Gina B was great and delivered well but the very very obvious bump somewhat distracted from her character and almost ‘spoilt’ the performance (IMHO)… it’s a tricky one as she performed and sounded 100% but the look just jarred. The set and use of the revolve were very effective and kind of made me double sad about the lack of set and automation for Cinderella. I can easily see this having a limited run in the West End… a proper R&H classic presented as it should be is over due. Recommend those that can to tale a look or watch the stream.
