Is it the same lighting extravaganza in the finale? New poll added for the tour. Yes

That’s good to hear, it was the best bit about it.

This seems to be selling quite well at Sadlers Wells but the only cheaper seats are not too great. Do we think there may be offers for this or other cheap but good tickets?

Is it the same mirror as before? It’s the same set as before Not quite. They have got rid of the mirror. And it's the better for it.

Sure- they’ll let you buy a great ticket for really cheap, even though it’s selling really well as you say. Oh wait. Not sure that’s how it works.

Is the front row too close at this theatre or for this show? I'm fairly tall so not too worried and generally like to be close. Seems like the best options as not much is available for my dates and I was hoping to wait for a rush option but doesn't seem like that may be an option at this rate.

I'm still breathless from this relentlessly reinvented and reinvigorated production at the Lowry tonight. every inch of the deceptively empty cavernous stageg was used. hyperactive lighting certainly, but wonderful staging and emotion. Just a couple of missteps for me - the drama of Paul's broken ankle went for nothing, and as much as I adore seeing Adam Cooper dance, the rather naff reflective solo was clearly there so he could do a dance and to give the dancers a little extra time to change. It ruined the 'oh my, here we go' tumbling into One. But a great production full of detail.

Instead of Zach it was Paul and he was reaching for the hat but his leg was stopping him. It just felt more thought through

Sorry just three stars from me after seeing it tonight at the Lowry. Maybe it's down to the poor seat I had where I missed a lot of the action as anything that happened stage right was out of view. I didn't even realise there were bits of it being filmed as couldn't see the screen. I did enjoy the dance routines and thought What I Did For Love was gorgeous.

Thanks, even with Paul doing the dance break, which adds a poignant touch, it's clearly padding to give the dancers time to change - well that's how it feels. I did wonder if Zack was going to join One.

Out of curiosity, how is this staged on tour? I saw it in Leicester and Adam Cooper was off in the right aisle for a lot of it. Does he stay on stage?

the reveal of who got the eight parts was treated very stoically and rather low key - I didn't really take in who got in, but I assume sheila didn't.

Saw this at the Lowry tonight and loved it so much that on the tram journey home I booked a ticket to see it again tomorrow night!
It’s not a perfect production - my biggest issue with it is that I think the camera work adds nothing and I’d prefer if it were dropped. I also think the band reveal half way through the show is unnecessary, and as much as I adore Carly Mercedes Dyer, she doesn’t quite manage to be as captivating as I was hoping in her ‘Music and the Mirror’ dance break.
However, these are small niggles in a production that otherwise induced laughter, empathy, and euphoria by the bucketload. There are some really fantastic performances, the band sounds fab, and I quite like the use of the lighting rigs. The most sensational part of it though is the choreography. I don’t know the show well enough to know if any of the original Bennett choreo has been used (for those more in the know: is this a show where you contractually have to incorporate a certain amount of original choreography, as used to be the case for e.g. West Side Story?). Either way, this is some of the best musical theatre dance work that I’ve seen in a long time. After not particularly liking the choreography in Hello, Dolly!, it was a welcome antidote. I’ve always liked Ellen Kane’s work but this is in a whole different league to what I’ve seen her do before.

I did manage to get a Rush ticket today, which is Stalls Row Q for anyone interested. I was a bit disappointed when they pulled the 42nd Street tour and sent out A Chorus Line, but it looks like it was a good decision from a sales perspective. There’s very little discounting going on that I’m aware of.

This is much improved from when I saw the original run at the Curve. Jocasta Almgill singing What I Did For Love is worth the admission price alone.
I also don't remember all the pyros and effects at the Curve.
I was sat way back in the Stalls, so the use of the camera was much appreciated. The camera work really isn't at the level of something like Sunset Boulevard, but I believe it was also the person playing Larry's first time, so that's to be expected. The staging isn't helped by having a lighting bar suspended that cuts off a load of faces on the screen.
Where I was said did have a good rake and clear view. I would prefer to not next to the constant cougher again, or the women behind who really wanted a clap-along show (one said "that was an ordeal" at the end - which is was - if you were sat near them).
I do feel that one role is rather miscast and so the monologue doesn't have the emotional impact it should have. But that may also not have been helped by the audio levels being rather low and people around me laughing at things that just aren't meant to be funny.
Great as well to spot someone who has progressed from the excellent ArtsEd version of A Chorus Line to this touring production.
I'll have to see this again from nearer the front, but no hesitation here in recommending this to others. All over in a snappy two hours without an interval as well, which is perfect for getting home afterwards.

Most of the cast were really good and the choreography, especially, was really spectacular. Some of the best dancing I’ve seen in a musical in a long time. I was, however, a little disappointed in What I Did For Love. I just didn’t think that her vocals were good enough for the role. I also found the use of the camera really distracting but I was sat pretty close to the stage. The small-ish band of seven musicians sounded really good but for some reason they’d shortened The Music and the Mirror and cut must of the trumpet solo, which definitely made the whole number less powerful.

Yesterday's matinee and although I enjoyed it I wouldn't rave. Long bits dragged and I couldn't work up any concerns for most of the cast. Although much of the material was familiar I can't recall if I've ever seen it before or maybe the film; either way it's left little impression on me and I conclude its not a piece I'll rush to see again. Mrs Snow says don't listen to the old grump, she really enjoyed it.
One thing, the "Director" using the off stage mic. Contrasted to strongly with the onstage voice. He's addressing a rehearsal space not Liverpool St Station! I found it very unbalanced and jaring and it detracted every time the switch occurred.

Heading back again tonight as Rush offered me Stalls Row BB and I couldn't turn that down (the tickets are over £100 otherwise). In this case, it's the third row, as the row lettering (from the stage going back) goes DD, CC, BB, AA, A, B etc. I bet that causes some confusion! Looking forward to seeing this from nearer the front, and hopefully with less annoying people sat around me.

I found that very easy to turn down. Will have to try to catch it on tour.

Caught this last night with the Mrs thanks to a pair of Rush Tickets. It gave me First/Dress Circle row C right in the centre, seats that were simultaneously still on sale on the Saddlers Wells site for £120.
Had seen it previously at Curve in 2021. It felt like it had been tightened up a bit. The video still doesn't add much and part of it was at times obscured by part of the lighting rig that comes down above the 'line'. Still an enjoyable show and nice to be able to get the 10pm train home.

This has sold much better than i expected - the only affordable tickets i could get were the £15 restricted slips... i did google to see if there was a rush/lottery but couldnt find anything annoyingly - i clearly should have checked the board first!
