Found here: www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/entertainment-arts-36193173It looks like a big screen version of the Monty Python musical Spamalot could soon be on the way. The Tony award-winning stage show, itself adapted from the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, has been a huge hit in the West End, Broadway and around the world since it first opened more than ten years ago. Late last week, film studio 20th Century Fox registered the domain names MontyPythonsSpamalotMovie.com and SpamalotMovie.com There’s no word yet on casting or when it might start filming.

I reckon it will start filming in October, maybe November? I suppose December but then it would be best to film somewhere like Thailand and I doubt that's what they r after As staring...... Obviously Bonnie Langford is a contender, she has the talent and the looks and is just begging for the chance to take the leap to the silver screen On the whole I say yes ?

BL's stock is alway rising! She's the self-raising flour of musical theatre. When oh when will she be in Les Mis

I would have thought they'd get Tim Curry, David Hyde Pierce, Hank Azaria & co. - I don't think Bonnie Langford and Les Dennis should get their hopes up about getting a call any time soon.

This being the cast of the Broadway show (which I saw in previews, my first and so far only visit to Broadway). Tim Curry isn't well enough (he did a post film screening introduction for Rocky Horror at The Royal Albert Hall six months ago, no way is he well enough). David Hyde Pierce wasn't great in the role, felt almost an apologetic performance (my opinion). Hank Azaria though was A.Mazing!

I'miss a bit 'meh' with this show. I had the cast recording on my i-Pod long before I actually saw the show so was very familiar with the music and saw the film many years ago but even when I finally did see it it was still a 'meh' show for me.
I mean I could see the humour but for me it just didn't live up to the expectation. But that was just me.
I wish this venture every success and I'd be the first in line to encourage any musical being committed to film.

So this would be a film of the musical of a film? Just like the 2005 Producers movie. To be honest I felt that this musical would be one of the LAST musicals to be turned into a film. Seeing Python on stage is one thing but I think it's gonna p**s a lot of the fans off seeing the Holy Grail redone on film. The new Rocky Horror trailer with Laverne Cox hasn't seemed to go down well, and I guess this would just do the same.
