With so much happening in the next two weeks (Christmas, New Year and Brexit)- not to mention this ever threatening pandemic- whilst I still have the chance to, I just want to take 5 minutes out to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!
I have met some of you and you were all lovely. Even if I haven't met you, everyone's contribution- even if it differs from your option- is valued and what makes this forum work.
Unfortunately the thing that has bought us all together has left a gaping hole in our lives this year but theatre- in whatever is your preferred preference- will be back, stronger than ever.
I just want to also thank the moderators who keep us all in line.
This year has been extremely difficult (I have been working from home for over 9 months) and has thrown up challenges that none of us could have ever predicted.
So, if you're alone like I will be on the big day -in London, Tier 4- or with (at least some) family- please be safe and well.
Remember, hands, face and space.
Please don't do anything foolish that will potentially put either yourself or others at risk. We want to see you and others back in 2021.
Oh, and finally Happy New Year!

All the best Anthony. I’m the loveliest forum member you’ve ever met aren't I? Aren’t I? AREN’T I? 🤪
(Be careful... my finger is hovering over the BAN button 😋)

Happy Christmas and a better 2021 to everyone. This year has not been easy I am sure you all agree. Lets not lose sight of the goal next year of getting more of the things we love back. For those of us missing family over Christmas best wishes and take care and stay safe.

Merry Christmas. After a long chat our family are spending Christmas apart. There was talk of meeting but sitting distanced in the house and no games etc but we felt that would feel like a half Christmas and not worth the risk. We're having a big get together next year after the vaccine instead.

Having Christmas Day lunch on Christmas Eve as I'm going to Brazil Xmas day evening (work trip). Just the 4 of us as previously planned, my sister came home from Uni towards the middle of December.

Oh Merry Christmas! I'm now NOT going to Sao Paulo on Xmas Day.
I'm having a coronavirus test at Heathrow Airport (such joy!) and then going to RIO on Boxing Day..
Get me on that beach with a Caipirinha.
Merry Christmas Everyone.

Well, I think we can all agree that despite being an even year, 2020 has actually been a rather odd year.
Along with sunbathing in the park, and long walks down short gennels, being part of the wonderful TB community has provided the perfect distraction and really helped keep my mind in some sort of balance, so thank you to all my online friends.
Thank you, too, to the Mods...even the hairy one who keeps trolling me for knowing a play when I see one. 😉
Happy Christmas 🎄 to one and all. I'm going to have a digital detox for a few days, so now would be the perfect time to settle old scores and type about me behind my back. 🙂
We can, I hope, now see the light at the end of the tunnel, so here's to 2021! 🎆

Sending e-hugs to anyone else alone on this Christmas Eve. A lot of people focus only on the day itself but it can be equally hard to be alone on any of the other days around this time, with happy families and romantic couples on every screen you see. So if you're on your own too, I'm raising my gin to you tonight. While watching Home Alone 1 and 2.

Happy Christmas everyone. As always this place has been a refuge and support and laughter, thank you all for your contributions and for proving much as we miss theatre we can still find plenty to talk about without it.

As I contemplate the the tight onesie with the hole on the bum in the ad below, here to say, pop onto the board if you get fed up, DM me, have a little moan. Been a terrible year. But as was once painted on the side of Brummie Buses - FORWARD.

Merry Christmas everyone from self-isolation (close contact, not tested positive myself and have no symptoms so fingers crossed!) - a very 2020 Christmas, as a friend in the same position put it! I hope you all get to spend tomorrow (or another day if you are working) eating, drinking and watching whatever you want. And sleeping, because that is really all I want for Christmas, time to sleep 😴

It took me to a second reading to realise it was an add, I was really thrown at the idea of lynette in a onesie let alone the one described.

Had a message from the NHS app last night, telling me to self-isolate for 4 days. Perfect timing. Holed up at home (no symptoms thankfully) with a mountain of food and banned from going on that healthy Christmas walk! I would be tempted to apply for that isolation financial grant, but I don't think I would be able to keep a straight face whilst applying..
Have a lovely Christmas everyone and let's hope we all get back to the theatre next year!

Merry Christmas, everyone, from an American in London enjoying(-ish) an extended solo visit to the UK. I'm preparing a mini version of my mom's Christmas dinner... roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, and a Brussel sprout salad (because she'd be insisting I eat my vegetables) -- oh, and starting with champagne and a cracker*! Mom was born and raised in the US, but her parents were from Cornwall, so the family traditions were very British. Everything 'should' be ready to go into the oven in time for me to watch the Queen's speech with the champagne and eat shortly after.
In the meantime, I'm collating family history information I gathered in graveyards in western Cornwall recently, so it's very much a family day, if only in memory.
*A proper Christmas cracker, not a skimpy starter.

I don't feel that wishing people a happy or merry Christmas is very appropriate this year so I'll just say Have A Christmas. I suppose I could wish people in my area a Happy New Tier, as we're going into tier 4 tomorrow!
