Would those who've seen this recommend being closer or further back for best experience? Looking at the £85 seats just outside the £99.50 bracket in either D, E or K. Honestly anywhere in the stalls is good for this, except right on the sides.

Just back from a delightful afternoon at the Barbican seeing Anything Goes. I've seen this production before on Broadway just under a decade ago but with Stephanie J Block as Reno because Sutton Foster was away filming a pilot at the time but it was still a thrill to revisit the show and with Sutton at the helm and boy does she deliver on every level, she's a real triple threat in every sense of the word.
The supporting cast are very good and they look like they're having a blast especially Robert Lindsay who manages to make Moonface Martin his own. I would say that while the plot is paper thin, it works although it does drag a little with the Hope and Billy scenes but that's not the fault of the actors, the characters are underwritten and not that interesting compared to Reno, Moonface or Erma.
If you want a show that entertains and lifts your spirits, book this one ASAP.

Honestly anywhere in the stalls is good for this, except right on the sides. I was in B11 and it was too far to the right side. Only by a few seats, but still. I don't normally book this close to the stage for something with dancing (and didn't remember doing so on purpose), so I was a little worried when I first sat down. It turned out to be fine, but a couple of rows further back and a couple of seats toward the center would have been perfect. It was still darned enjoyable!

Slightly on the side, but pretty perfect seats! We were very lucky and they were TodayTix rush seats for £25, so well worth trying if you are in a position to be flexible. Enjoy - as everyone else has said, it's totally wonderful!

Saw someone imply Robert Lindsay might go lead for this, but I’m guessing they’ll keep the role in supporting. It’s the largest supporting role and they’ve expanded it, but I still think it stays there where he can have a strong shot at winning.

I'm going tomorrow and in stalls B33 which was on offer and also because of the legroom from that seat (so I've been told). Am I going to miss a lot as I've seen people on here say not to sit end of row.

Am I going to miss a lot as I've seen people on here say not to sit end of row. The row bends a bit, so you're slightly angled toward the stage. Most scenes are center stage, from what I remember. I sat in B11, just where the 'bend' starts. It's not that the seat lacked anything, but just I would have preferred to be more central. But the seat location didn't impact my enjoyment. (In fact, being close you get a better view of facial expressions, byplay, etc.) During the interval, the shiny, reflective fire curtain is kind of trippy.

I was in the Barb about 20 years ago when the safety curtain lowered at the interval and am American guy proclaimed: "Woah, space-age." It's one of London's more impressive curtains.

Has anyone tried the stage door for this? Just wondering if it’s been barred due to the ongoing pandemic or whether the cast are able to meet people if people act responsibly at the stage door.

As someone who used to love stage dooring, it's definitely for the better not to whilst the virus continues to circulate. I did manage to sit next to the musical supervisor during yesterday's matinee who scribbled away but that didn't distract from the gorgeous spectacle on stage. I don't have much to add from what's already been said but yes, GO! This is the pinnacle of musical theatre excellence!

So, I think Anything Goes rush rickets are the new Six rush tickets. I've tried the last several days, pressed the button within a second of 10am, waited for the system to complete its checks and everything has been taken. The sold out message goes up very quickly and nothing appearing later either.
Very good news for the show though, particularly right now when the tourist trade isn't around London.
I will keep trying when I have a free theatre slot.

There were maybe 15-20 people at the stage door recently. I was waiting for a taxi across the street so couldn't see how close people were standing, but I got the impression they were keeping a distance, applauding and calling out congratulations more than getting up close and personal for photos and autographs.

Late to the party but got to see the show last night and its a 5 star from me. Not much I can add to what has already been said but it was a treat to see such a great cast, loved the set, loved the costumes. Money had certainly been flung at this show. Sutton Foster is all that others have said and, by the way, she smells lovely! I was sitting end seat row B of the stalls and the cast board the ship via the stairs next to me so got a lovely waff of her perfume as she went past. Luckily the lady sitting next to me warned me that the cast would walk past as she had been in the same seat recently as none of the ushers said anything and if I had my leg sticking out (which is why I bought the seat) poor old Sutton would have gone *** over *** and I would have made headline news and probably have been hunted down. A couple of things to say however. Firstly there was no standing ovation after the end of Act 1 song and I think this was due to the fact that the curtain came down so quickly there wasnt time for people to actually get out of their seats. Also no ovation for Blow Gabrial Blow but it did have sustained applause for over 1 minute. At the end of the show there was a full standing ovation which was well deserved. I have been to the Barbican before but it would have been over 30 years ago so I was pleased that I managed to find it quite easily but the theatre itself has so many steps. I think the architect must have been getting back handers from the company who built the place. So much for each step! It was a nightmare going up and down. We actually had a show stop last night which was fun. It was after Buddie Beware and they couldnt get the lifeboat off the stage. So stopped the show for 3-4 minutes but everyone thought it was hilarious. Oh and does anyone else think that when Sutton Foster smiles she looks like Tracy Barlow (McDonald)?

Weren't the dresses gorgeous?! The shimmer of the materials and decorations were fabulous in the stage lighting.

TodayTix glitching again this morning is driving me insane! This happened to me last week with row F stalls tickets.
Somehow managed to get row B of the circle, so not too gutted, but they flashed up and when I clicked to pay it takes me back to the main page of all the shows!!!! I emailed TodayTix about this last week but have had no response.
I hope who got them enjoys the show, I would’ve been raging if they were stall seats!
Was checking the Barbican website all day yesterday for 2 tickets, and ofcourse 2 popped up on row c about 30 minutes before curtain.
Glad it’s selling so well, but I just want to see it!

I managed to get Row R Stalls tonight through Rush, which is further back than I'd like, but is as good a seat as Rush is likely to provide right now. First time I've been successful after a few days trying.
I suspect the odds were better today as there's also a matinee performance, so some people will have gone for that.
Looking forward to seeing this again.
