Not sure how much infrastructure is left but probably helps that it used to be a TV studio. Still odd to bring it all over here though.

I would say do we think it's easier to film and run here as COVID is a little lower? But with the steps they're taking (judging from one of the ensemble who I follow on insta) it could've been done in the US.
Today they have all been COVID tested and have moved into a hotel- presumably for the duration of the rehearsals and filming. This could have been done in the USA.
The only other thing is the costs- so that must have been a driving factor.
Hope they announce who else is in the ensemble, I've worked out two so far!

I'd presume with much of America still open for business, the UK scene will have many more deals to offer.

Isn’t it because the costs of filming musicals in the US are incredibly high due to union agreements?

Not surprised at all that it’s being made here. Everything costs at least twice as much to do in the US because of the unions etc.

Raises a lot of questions about the ‘worth’ of artists & creatives. Is it right that the producers can just up-end their production to the uk so that they can pay less for peoples work? Or is it wrong that it’s so difficult to affordably mount pro productions and film television shows in certain parts of the US?

Have the travel restrictions been relaxed for people flying in from the USA?

Have the travel restrictions been relaxed for people flying in from the USA? It's permissable to fly for work purposes if you quarantine on arrival (I think)

It's permissable to fly for work purposes if you quarantine on arrival (I think) I don't think you even have to give a reason for traveling to the UK. The US banned (most) UK travellers, but I don't recall the UK ever banning visitors from the US. Definitely lots of them around in London. Quarantine rules would presumably apply. If anything, I'd imagine them being better enforced for work purposes like this than for leisure travel (all assuming cast members weren't in the UK already).

I think that ‘artists’ are granted special permission to fly in and out of the UK for filming etc.
I have friends in the film industry and movie actors are flying all over the place

Presumably Matthew Morrison can afford a private jet anyway so it wouldn't matter if there are scheduled flights.

Have the travel restrictions been relaxed for people flying in from the USA? I don't think they've ever been in place. My niece flew in for a month in mid-September, not remotely work-related. She isolated for 14 days on arrival and again in the US on her return, but no restrictions.

Booboo Stewart is charming, but this is one of the cringiest things I have ever seen. If it wasn't for Covid, this would be the worst thing that happened this year

Kids will probably enjoy it and I like the Dr. Seuss rhymes but not a musical I'll keep to watch again.

There weren't any good songs in it, nothing could've saved it. They tried, and I could listen to Matthew singing a takeaway menu, but yeah it wasn't great.

Possibly the worst I've seen. It was like the very worst kids tv, without any of the charm.
