Hi everyone, this is my first post here i'm trying to do a playlist featuring songs from musicals coming from around the world and it's not that easy. I would really appreciate suggestions on musicals songs from Asian/South American/European/African countries. For reference here's the playlist at the moment : Thanks in advance for your help!

Do you want songs specifically with places in the title? Or just songs from different countries?
For the UK (off the top of my head) you could have songs from Billy Elliot, Blood Brothers, Matilda (music by an Australian, does that tick two boxes? 😄), Oliver.
For France you could have something from Les Mis in the original French.

Or The Light in The Piazza- set in Florence, Italy with one or two songs sung in Italian.
Passion is also set in Italy
Although set in America, the actress playing Jenny Lind in Barnum sings a third of the song in Swedish
Pacific Overtures is all set in Japan.
Sunday in the Park with George is set in Paris, as is Dear World, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Phantom of the Opera.
The King & I in Siam.
South Pacific in the Pacific Islands.
A Little Night Music is set in Sweden.
Ordinary Days is set in New York, as is Rent, Guys & Dolls, Saturday Night Fever, Pretty Woman, The Last 5 Years and In The Heights.
From Australia (my part of the world) Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Muriel's Wedding and The Boy from Oz.
Women on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown, Zorro and The Man of La Mancha all set in Spain.
Kristina starts in Sweden before the characters immigrate to America.
Chess start in Merano, Italy before moving to Bangkok.
Miss Saigon is set in Vietnam.
Grand Hotel in Berlin, as is Cabaret.
Joseph & His Technicolour Dreamcoat and AIDA are both set in Egypt.
La Cage aux Follies and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels are set in the south of France.
Evita in Argentina
That's off the top of my head.

Thank you! Yes I'm interested in songs from musicals that are set in various countries.
But I'm also trying to find musicals originated in different cultures. For example there's the Operette in France or the Zarzuela in Spain or obviously Bollywood in India. There was also apparently a rich musical theater culture in Egypt.
