Beauty joins lists of shows being cancelled. For a tour this is so heartbreaking as most people won’t get the opportunity to re book

Given the Covid restrictions announced for Wales from Boxing Day, that will be that for Beauty and the Beast in Cardiff. Certainly it can't continue there after Christmas.
Another Beauty and the Beast, this one a rock and roll panto, has also been cancelled at Theatr Clwyd following the Welsh Government's announcements earlier today,

Beauty confirms the Cardiff run is over. It only played 13 of its scheduled 45 shows there. Tens of thousands of people missing out with no idea if or when it will return to Cardiff.

I am gutted for them and the millennium centre but glad I caught it at the start of the run I hope this production gets a cast recording as the orchestrations were beautiful : (

Don't be gutted, be angry. Mark Drakeford isn't fit to run a parish council.

I’m sure they will book in another run in Cardiff to make up for these cancelled dates

Bedknobs don’t want to come in until Poppins has closed. I reckon that would mean we’ll see it around November/December in that case

Bit of a kick in the pants for the guy who stepped up to the mark and led the tour after Emmanuel Kojo was removed but ok...

The new Beast Shaq Taylor is currently in Hex so maybe they were waiting for that to finish

I was thinking of seeing this when it gets to London primarily because I was interested in seeing Alyn Hawke as the Beast. Now he's being demoted, I very much doubt I'll bother.

Demoted isn’t really the word. He was never officially announced as Beast, he covered the role due to the whole EK saga and did a great job. The fact that the trailer showed no beast said to me that he wasn’t going to have the role permanently. He is still going to be in the show and you may catch him covering Beast Lumiere or Gaston. Meanwhile set designer Stanley A Meyer has confirmed that ‘lots of changes are coming up for the show’ which is good news as the set is the worst part for me.
