Rosie Fletcher on as Mary tonight. I would not have been a happy bunny if Judas has been understudied, but this felt like a nice way for me to see a different slant on a role.

I thought maybe IDKHTLH was a bit big for her but ‘Could We Start Again Please’ was beautiful.

Show was breathtaking from row B. My palms are tingling from clapping too hard.

It’s possible I have been checking out the seating plan for the rest of this week. I don’t know what is my holidays always lining up with the last night of shows. I would love to be there for the last performance but sadly Eurostar does not get in 8.40pm that night. I have considered just second acting it, but I think it’s too tight. Hey ho.

I did not spot ALW. I would have loved to see what his reactions were like.

I don't know if it has sold well enough to extend.

The guy who runs the ‘All Things West End’ Facebook page is claiming to have been told by an ‘industry insider’ that an extension is possible. Personally don’t believe it for one second, but would love it if it’s true.

Might have got confused but I thought Robert Tripolino was off into something else.
It’s also a bit late to shift tickets now.
And I think the set is needed for the US Tour....

But I would LOVE to be proven wrong!

Well I've just came back to hotel after seeing this tonight (last minute ticket purchase since BOMC was cancelled) and it was more or less sold out. Definitely no empty seats in the circles and gallery and I saw maybe 5 or 6 empty seats in the stalls.

It's not a personal attack, it's a criticism on that mentality of spreading news like that and thinking that people are 'insiders' without doing the bare minimum to check before. 

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

My other half and I managed to get last min tickets to this last week. Purchased in person about half an hour before, no major discounts, but managed to get decent tickets in the stalls that we used vouchers to get.
Having not seen it in the park, but heard great things about it, and never seeing JCS at all (other then the filmed arena tour), I was excited to finally tick another show off the list!

I thought that it translated really well from an outside space onto a pross stage, though my partner did think that the stage felt a little bit small. We both thought that all performances were fantastic, and I can be one to not like pointless choreography, but I actually really liked the staging and the movement used. It always felt that it was enhancing the action going on, though the use of cannon as it builds through the company did get a little repetitive! I thought the imagery created with the silver hands, and the lashing using the glitter I thought was very poetic! Though I did wish that it was a different colour glitter, as with it being gold, we did get a bit confused with the as we called it the 'glitter orgy' in the 1st act, so some slight differences between the two I think would have worked slightly better/clear. My partner also thought the sound sounded off at times, but he's very big into sound, I thought it sounded fine haha!

I have also never been to the Barbican Theatre, so it was nice to finally experience a show there.

Overall I thought a great production, that has been worthy of all the praise it has received in its many iterations!

Tonight i was seeing small little detail that i didn't notice before. Before Judas' final number, the tree is predominantly lit, When Judas sings the title number, he uses a silver microphone to match his hands, also, there are 2 occasions when the ensemble (who are the hardest working of any show in town right now) exit the stage putting earphones into their ears. Was this to show that they were no longer listening to what Jesus has to say, but that seemed odd, as they are all his followers.

I said this was my last visit, but i would love to be at the final performance... never say never!

I was there last night - it's every bit as good as you've all made it out to be on here.

And what can I say that hasn't been said about Ricardo Afonso? An absolutely stunning vocal performance... the gymnastics is something else but he manages to accomplish it in character and on appropriate lines, without ever feeling like he's going off piste for the sake of it. Just brilliant.

I wasn't quite so keen on Michael Tripolino's voice. Some delightful moments, but also very in and out if truth be told; for me, Gethsemane was a bit of a mess. Not that it's an easy song to sing, but it sounded strained and his belt/scream failed him a bit.

Every other principal was excellent. Enjoyed Matt Cardle and Nathan Amzi, while Cavin Cornwall's depth of range gets me every time. The ensemble work insanely hard, massive shout out to them - particularly as I think they were a body or two down and there was some split-track/double-ups going on. The direction and lighting - lashes and crucifixion particularly - still feels so fresh and effective, even after seeing it in Regent's Park a couple of years ago. I guess they've tweaked things to take it indoors though.
