Any predictions on closing night cast? I’m thrilled with whoever I see, I saw Pepe, Ricardo and Maimuna in August and would happily see their amazing performances a second time but would quite like to see the other 3 too, especially Declan who was out when I saw it in 2018. I think it’s become almost impossible to predict. I bought a ticket for the final matinee- my thinking being that if Declan/ Tyrone/Anoushka opened the run, Pepe/ Ricardo/ Maimuna would close it, with the others doing the matinee that day. Who knows now though! |

It is funny how probability works isn't it. I have been five times and seen Declan and Tyrone five times. I am desperate to see Pepe! Shame we can't swap a previous experience dontdreamit !! |

It is funny how probability works isn't it. I have been five times and seen Declan and Tyrone five times. I am desperate to see Pepe! Shame we can't swap a previous experience dontdreamit !! I know it’s just one of those things, but what it has led me to do is to book more tickets than I would have done normally, and I suspect I’m not the only one who has done that. I miss having the equivalent of the Strat schedule where you could plan visits around that but I totally understand why we never know in advance. But you know what? One of the best things about this wonderful production coming back is the buzz I feel. Not only of finally getting back to see theatre, but coming on here seeing which cast have been on, and the general chat on the board. Theatre is so much more than just watching a show to me and it’s wonderful to have had a little bit of my normal life back for a while- even if it’s all over next week. |

Good to have seen Pepe and Ricardo. Different to Declan and Tyrone but equally impressive.
Main annoyance was the third of the crowd now who completely ignore the mask rule (and it must be obvious to the ushers in the daylight).
Don't think I'll get back again, unless I go for the screen. But I walked past there afterwards and it looked packed out today.

I’ve been impressed with the view you get for the money! Although it was busy it still felt like there was plenty of space around where I was sitting. |

4 shows and no Declan yet for me - although I ended up getting a lawn ticket for tomorrow's matinee. Though four Pepe shows in a row make me wonder if Declan's off sick? Guess I'll find out tomorrow. And the 17th seems to have been Ricardo according to Twitter. |

Bloody great show tonight, though it felt like a bit of a Saturday night crowd - not much for the cast to feed off. Sound seemed less amplified tonight and the drums lacked punch - i wondered if they've been told to turn it down a notch. Vocally, apart David Thaxton, it felt restrained. I hope they whack up the volume next Sunday evening!

Now that you mention it, I had the same impression on Wednesday evening. When the show started, the rustling of leaves blown about by the wind in the aisle next to me was louder than the show and I was wondering whether the sound had always been that quiet - but I distintly remember the show starting with a bang at previous times.
Later during the show when a wind came up the show was louder than the leaves though, so I assumed they'd adjusted it.

I just wish that whilst streaming onto the lawn, OAT have been able to retain a film of this fantastic production that they could show online for a small charge and make a bit more income to help this season’s shortfall. I would happily pay £10 / 20 each time to watch it online a couple of times a month through the winter, to remind me of the joy of summer in the park watching this amazing cast.
