I’m not too surprised Sky have decided to make Sky Arts FTA, not only does it expand its reach but with BBC Four becoming more of an archive channel, it’s filing a gap nicely. Sadly I think it means that Challenge will likely leave Freeview

As I've mentioned in another thread I suspect it will lead to Sky putting out premium paid content alongside the free to air paid offerings

Alas, I live in flats in a conservation area, so it's nigh on impossible to get a Sky dish. I know other options are available, and I probably could upgrade my NowTV account to HD to get it, but I like being able to record. I suppose that's supposed to be another thing to tempt me to sign up properly. |

Just returned both my freeview boxes and not there so I assume it might be for like newer boxes or something??

Sky say it’s being launched today but I don’t know if different transmitters turn it on at different times, so try later - it should work even if you’ve got an old box or TV set.
