My obscure fave bits usually come with who is performing them as well
From Les Mis its Bamatabois turns up. But my love or hate is how its performed. When I went back to the show after the revamp I hated what they did, they added sound effects and it looked like a cartoon.
Les Mis also when the two police capture Jean Valjean in the prologue.
Maybe not obscure but Mrs Taylor's Lullaby in Bat Boy. Only saw it at Southwark Playhouse specifically what I saw Simon Bailey do.

Martin Guerre tour (version 4 of the show at that point I think!) and the harmonies in ‘Why’, specifically the passage: “how I longed for a chance to find somewhere and someone where I could find passion and a lover and gentle friend”
The autumn leaves falling during ’Beautiful’ in Sunday in the Park with George at the Menier
Julia Sutton’s adlibs during ’The Glory of Me’ (The Witches of Eastwick)
Emma Williams bring up her vein in ‘Mine All Mine’ (Bat Boy)

The final sequence of the Mernier's Fiddler On the Roof was sublime.

“She’s the one behind this! Christine! Daeé!” Always raises a smile from me for some reason...
As did Matt Lucas’ “Paris at me feet. Paris in the dussstt!” (Nod to Marjory Dawes I assume).
“Shut up I’m rich, not some platinum blonde bitch” is also good fun...

From Les Mis its Bamatabois turns up. YES! Here's something new, I think I'll give it a try Come closer, you. I like to see what I buy The usual price for just one slice of your pie Is this a trick? I won't pay more You've got some nerve, you little whore You've got some gall It's the same with a tart as it is with a grocer The customer sees what he gets in advance It's not for the whore to say "yes sir" or "no sir" Not for the harlot to pick or to choose Or to lead me a dance! Easily my favourite obscure section of the show. He needs to be a sleazy toff with a real side of menace, not some dandy out on the town.

I love the line Jack's mother has about the cow in Into the Woods: "we've no time to sit and dither/ while her withers wither with her."

"Bravaaa, bravaaaa, bravissimaaaaa". So creepy.
And
"Lost your heart? Well we'll see about that. Did you think I'd let you leave me here flat? You're going to lose your heart to me I tell you, if I to... I have to... magic spell you!" Such a tune! And not available on the cast recording so even better in the theatre.

The bit where she's dressed up in the black and white outfit, feather in her hair and the fox stole around her and Norma Desmond returns to Paramout Studios and there's that voice shouting out to her
"Miss Desmond? Hey Miss Desmond! Up here Miss Desmond! It's Hogeye"
"Hogeye! Well, hello"
"Let's get a look at you!"
And he turns the spotlight on her and shes bathed in glorious light.
I appreciate that it's directly from the film but such a simple interaction and gesture- moving a spotlight- can have such an impact!

One of my favourite obscure moments is "southern motherf**** democratic republicans" in Hamilton - the way its sung and the choreography. Looking forward to watching it later on Disney + although I know that's one of the F bombs that is censored
I also appreciate in Wicked when Glinda arrives by bubble at the start - after your first time watching, you realise she looks so sad but has to act happy - when that's well done, its heart breaking.

Into the Woods' Ugly Sisters, specifically on the OLC, when they sing sarcastically: "We're so happy you're so happy / Just as long as you stay happy, we'll stay happy"

Two things in Wicked, both I believe are in Act II.
The first is right after 'As Long As Your Mine' where there is the blink and miss it image of Dorothy's house spinning in the tornado summoned up by Madame. Morrible.
The second where Elphabah sarcastically says to Glinda 'We can't all travel by bubble'.

That photograph was taken about two weeks before lockdown commenced when I was in the ABBA Museum in Stockholm and that is the helicopter from the cover of the Arrival album.

Yes I recognised it from the Arrival album cover - very nice! I'd like to have been able to go to that museum, looks great.

I'm an ABBA fan so am slightly biased but in terms of museums, it was excellent! They had the costumes on display from both Mamma Mia! films and the jeep. There was a HUGE room of costumes actually worn by ABBA and gold records, including the touring costumes. They explain how the four of the met and their backstories. They have re-created the hut with the piano that Benny used to sit at whilst writing the songs and Bjorn used to tinker with his guitar and the recording studio. You get to go into a booth and 'record' yourself singing against an ABBA backing track, sing and dance with an ABBA avatar and what each of the four of them have done after ABBA, including both Chess and Kristina. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

I like when Nessa sings "Elphaba, seee..." and Elphaba crouches down next to her in time with it. A small but nice touch.
In Kinky Boots when Lola's dad takes his hand. Always brought a lump to my throat!
In Memphis when Mr Simmons is talking about his son, "He's 15...16...something like that."

The "You at the barricade listen to this!" warnings, both of them- really fun if you're familiar with the cast & swings and can tell who's singing it offstage (in the regular show); enjoyed putting a face to the normally uncredited "loudhailer guy" (in the staged concerts), quite stunningly done by Chris Jacobsen in the 2019 Gielgud production too, with even more conviction than some of the students I daresay (lol)

In Amélie, the harmony at the start of Sound of Going Round in Circles. So nice to see an arrangement really milk a great moment of vocal harmony. Sometimes I think orchestrations can be too heavy and mean that amazing intricacies in vocal harmony get lost.

That line in Blood Brothers "Who dare tell the lambs in Spring what fate the later seasons bring".
I love that line so much, and where it's placed in the show (as you will see) its become one of my tag lines on this forum.

There’s a small show called Ordinary Days- don’t know if any of you saw when it played at the Trafalgar Studios a little while back.
It’s quite an intimate piece with a small cast of four. There is a song called I’ll Be Here where you learn how one of the character’s met a guy by chance, started dating him, fell in love and eventually married him and it’s only as the song progresses that you realise this character is in mourning as she lost him when the planes hit the twin towers in September 11.
