Who are your favourite, most beloved, adored characters in musicals?
Paul in A Chorus Line? Christine in Phantom? Leo Frank in Parade?
Tell all, and tell us why!

Paul in a Chorus Line and Leo Frank from parade are inspired choices.
For me the following:
Meg in Phantom- she has an innocence but does she know more? Boq in Wicked - apart from his transformation but the fact that what he want is always just out of reach and he finally stands upon for himself Deb in Ordinary Days- she's just to feisty! Betty in Sunset Boulevard- she appears to be the only character not playing games. Dot in Sunday in the Park with George- because her love of George is pure Francesca in The Bridges of Madison County- because when she finally allows herself to finally love her choices are gut wrenching Frank in The Rocky Horror Show- he is the perfect blend of masculine and feminine
I am very likely to come up with a lot more later

Amélie in Amélie. I saw the UK version 6 times at 3 venues. The whole show was amazing but it all hung on this character. I loved the film and love Paris which helps but her whimsical life but still with emotion struck a positive chord with me

Beverley Bass in Come From Away - what an inspirational woman to pick to tell her story. You could pick nearly any of the characters in that show really.

Huey Calhoun in Memphis. He's a bit up himself yeah, but he's caring and sweet and his indifference to race is commendable.
Elphaba in Wicked. Obvious choice but she's very admirable and I see some of myself in her.
Fantine in Les Miserables (also JVJ obvs, he's a hero). Always liked her, not sure why.
Sloane in Bat Out of Hell. Classy, funny, great outfits.

I have a very soft spot for the older Eponine. S**t parents, unrequited love, gets shot, dies.
If I had a 'theme song', it would be On My Own.

Angel from Rent- He/she knows who he/she is. Is understanding and full of compassion. He/she goes and invites the others to the Life Support meetiung and opens their eyes to to the fact that you can live with the 'disease'. And he/she gets to play on a ten tonne plastic pickle tub.
