Chocolate. That is all....and more chocolate..... Thought I had bought quite a lot on my last shop two weeks ago but who was I kidding, long wait for the next shop in another 2 weeks. On the upside hat number 2 arrived and is lovely and soft and it's meant to be getting bit colder tomorrow so that'll be me in hat sat at dining room table.

I had planned on spending some of mine on Lego sets. They always do special promotions on the Star Wars stuff for May 4th but when I went to buy it the ones i wanted are sold out. Think I'm going to get one of those lovely t-shirts though.

Divorce. There's a story - separated 8 years after the stbx came back from Afghanistan (another story) but now he's found a girlfriend (she's been divorced twice) the amicable split has turned into a bitchfest on his part ..... I may regret asking this but what does stbx stand for?
Soon To Be Ex. The g*t. Got 2 Hairspray tickets changed to what may be the last performance ... 1 to be refunded in 7 to 10 days. Waiting to hear about Mockingbird and SITPWG. Wilton's refunded. Uncle Vanya refunded to.

All mine will have been refunds apart from those with venues who offered future options such as waiting to see if plays/shows could be rescheduled - so mainly Chichester but a couple of others. With CFT I will still keep the faith despite the latest announcement. No donations to theatres yet as I sent a big chunk to our struggling local hospice but I'm obviously still considering supporting some theatres.

I've either donated or taken credit for my existing tickets but as others have mentioned I am saving a lot of money through not travelling to work as much, no theatre, no petrol as there's no where to go and no restaurants (who am I kidding, McDonalds...). I've made some donations and I'm mostly saving to go on holiday. I was supposed to be going to the Olympics in Tokyo at the end of July which is obviously not happening but it's not clear which refunds will be forthcoming. Looks like no accommodation will be refunded (approx £1k) and Cathay Pacific are extending their refund window extremely slowly so are trying to avoid as many refunds as possible so it's possible I could have thrown the best part of £2k down the drain which is a little sickening. When we are eventually able to go somewhere it's going to be amazing and I want to be able to make the most of it!

So far I've had refunds from Curve (for 2 shows) and Cambridge Arts Theatre. I went for part donation, rest refunded. All I've got outstanding now is Sunday In The Park With George with ATG.

I am saving but not through choice. There is nothing to buy. All the things I usually spend my money on (theatre, holidays, restaurants, bars/pubs, fashion) are non-existent right now. I was happy to splash some cash on ice cream last weekend as miraculously some ice cream shops re-opened around me.

Don’t think I will come out of this much richer to be honest. The food bills bigger because am doing that stupid thing of stocking up on basics and cleaning stuff and treating ourselves to some nice wine..then the new vacuum cleaner cos neither of us can heave the old one about ( yes I had a cleaner) and books, sending out gifts to people and to myself...and then donations to the theatres, forsaking refunds and then to other charities , NHS meals thing and Trussell Trust via grandkids who are doing stuff to be sponsored and then we can’t get our holiday outlay refunded, having to battle for it ( update will follow) so as I say, I reckon not much richer. I’m also planning some house refurbs for the autumn...

For theatres that I like Im getting credit notes. ATG are giving me a refund.
I've geekily bought some first edition Sondheim scripts.
Also, I've decided to save the planet by giving up liquid soaps and their evil plastic containers. So I'm now looking at nice soap dishes. Although I'm thinking pottery is something that can't be bought online due to its tactile nature.
