Wow, he’s really going out of his way to be a total sh*t, isn’t he?
I hope this is all remembered when (if) things return to normal.

Continuing to be his usual upbeat Corona self I see. Honestly, he really does need a reality check ATM. Nica Burns statement about how they were unlikely to make a profit (or even break even) but what she was doing was for the greater good of theatre (and indeed employment and ultimately profit) in the long term is really something he should be thinking about. He really is being very short sighted, and whilst I will always praise his legacy up until now, he truly needs a kick up the a***.
A Les Mis staged concert would go a significant way to redeeming him I say lol! (#NoChance....)

Not that I have any interest in anything the turd produces anyways, but he's certainly joined the now rather long list of sociopaths whose business's I won't be supporting once all this crap is over and done with x

This seems very London centric, which doesn't help those of us who live outside London and indeed all the many theatres and other Arts companies operating outside the capital. He really does need to take a look at the situation in the country as a whole not just the large scale productions in the west end.

This seems very London centric, which doesn't help those of us who live outside London CM: " Outside London? You mean, like, Camden Town or something?" In all seriousness, I suspect what he actually said and what he's reported to have said may not be precisely the same. But having said that, ridiculously high budgets and corresponding break-even capacities and recoupment times have become something of a trademark of the West End and with only a limited amount of government money available it would be better spent on the groups who can get the most theatre out of it.

God, it's all a bit of a PR disaster currently for Dame Cameron.
Though as someone reminded me upthread you do have to take these stories with a pinch of salt. 0.1% of disgruntled redundant employees can grab headlines but are not the prevailing experience. Playing devil's advocate. I mean, we will never know the truth.
Cameron does understand how the media work though - so it's high time he took action to redeem himself.

The stage are a bit more serious about stuff like that tbh. "Former Delfont Mackintosh employees claim: Mackintosh unwilling to use the furlough scheme in full Staff were not offered PPE at outset of pandemic They were not informed of theatre closures They were told of redundancies online Employees felt afraid to speak out

so it's high time he took action to redeem himself. Bring back the original RSC production of Les Mis, that'll help him redeem himself! . . . . I mean I am joking... but not really...

Interesting that CamMack is sitting sideways in his seat at the Prince Edward. Is that to get the best shot, or because the legroom is so poor?
I hope the temporarily re-engaged ensemble were suitably remunerated!
