I've just walked round my village, frantically diving across roads/down side roads/into hedges in order to try to keep my distance from other people. None of them seemed to be making any effort to keep away from me or each other though, which I find strange since all apart from one person looked to be 60+ so higher risk.

In my college,we are supervising/supporting students whose parents are ‘frontline’ workers....trying to dispel myths, motivate, reassure and be a listening ear.Lot of stressed out, confused, angry and disillusioned youngsters out there! Predict there will be big mental health fall-out issues to come....

So, how are the people new to home working finding it* after a few days?
I've been working from home for several years and I love it. I can't remember when I used to do the washing because these days I just do it whenever it needs doing. I never have to arrange to be home when I'm expecting a parcel because I can be home any day. And although it doesn't apply at the moment, I really appreciate not having to go out when it's raining or snowing unless I feel like going out.
* Let's just get the "I walked downstairs and there it was" joke over with right now.

In perfect timing, I was made redundant earlier in the month, and jobs in my speciality are had to find at the best of times! Little point in worrying, the 3 month mortgage holiday will be a blessing, and I will have to push my wife to work harder.. (Joking)

I'm a part of the Socially Distant Choir. We're an online choir. Each week, we pick a song from a stage musical and assign different parts to the members. We record ourselves singing those parts while the leader edits it all together.
This week, we had performed a cover of "For Now" from 'Avenue Q', with some slightly changed lyrics to reflect the current times. I'm quite happy with how it turned out. We even had comments from actors that were in major productions in the show, who told us how much they liked it.
If you're feeling down during this pandemic, click the link and let us reassure you.

I'm shielding but also working from home. My head of department called us together just before the start of lockdown at the end of March and told 4 of us that we were 'on the list' (although what list he had access to I'm not sure) and were not to come in from the following Monday. I remained at home for 2 weeks but went for local walks but then received my shielding letter from the Welsh Government at the start of April. I had just picked up my work pc before that and have been working from home since then, just not going beyond my garden in the meantime.

Say "Hello!" to the Socially Distant Choir as they sing this iconic opening number from 'The Book of Mormon'. Trust me, this song will change your life.
