I suspect it will be like the Jungle Book or the Ape films, motion captured actors that slightly resemble themselves but will look like cats, pretty much like most of the work Andy Serkis does.

I don't know why they've given Taylor Swift such a large dance role when she can barely dance herself. Thank God for Robbie Fairchild and Francesca Hayward!

I suspect the original actors and their movements will be barely recognised by the time motion capture has taken over. Perhaps some of these ballet dancers will be dong the actions for the un-dancers......so many possibilities but Cats is still a piece about dancers and not cats exactly.

Was Zizi Strallen ever confirmed for this? Because either she’s part of the cast or was just attending the cast Christmas party/spending time with them on set according to social media... Look at her Instagram story when she’s singing Happy Birthday and take a look at the book on the piano.... |

Originally, I was hoping the transformation/ adaptation might resemble what Milos Forman did to 'Hair' (a film I love, where a conceptual "happening" was given a linear narrative).
Sadly, I'm not convinced this "concept" will be so successful...

They have to add a new song so they can put it forward for Best Original Song at the Oscars, and they might as well add several so the critics can find one they like!
