I do wish Brighton was closer to my old home City of Manchester - I should probs move back lol, think see more theatre there than in London!
Anyway, this is great news, love me a bit of Rent. Really enjoyed the St James version few years back. Just hope they splash out on a big enough band. Keys x 2, guitar, bass guitar and drums required at least. Great they are looking for new talent cast wise.

I’m definitely booking for this. Having Luke Sheppard direct this after his Spring Awakening at HM and &Juliet productions, I’ve got high hopes for this production. Hopefully we will get a decent sized orchestra for this to play the great score.

Dammit, after LND announcement yesterday this year's turning into an expensive one again. Nice surprise though

Isn't Rent a bit Generation X-ey?!
Does it appeal to anyone younger? Very much of it's time. And very overrated

Having never been to or even looked at a production at Hope Mill, would getting 6 tickets together on a Saturday night performance for this be a bit optimistic? (I have registered for priority booking)

(I have registered for priority booking) Nah. U less something very weird happens with this show you’ll have no problems at all. Experience so far is that it doesn’t start to sell until nearer to the dates and sometimes inly after the reviews are out. It’s on for a month, you’ll be fine. also they’ve now upgraded the booking system and you can select your own seats instead of having the coloured sections. Good news.

And, just to qualify (and absolve me from responsibility) the FB announcement for this today has 180 comments which is more than usual. I still think you’ll be fine but book when booking opens, to be on the safe side.

Having completely forgotten I signed up for the priority email alert, it was a nice surprise to find the booking email land in my inbox just now. Nice and easy to sort out. Front row booked for the 1st Saturday matinee.

Anyway know if both ends of the main block are aisles? Or is one of them against a wall, sound desk or similar? Thanks!

Tickets booked for the first Saturday night. Looks like it's sold pretty well already. Pleased they're doing reserved seating now
