Can you see faces clearly from Row B of the Royal Circle? Trying to decide between that and the Stalls?

Bit late to the party, but this was a surprising announcement. I assume a fully staged revival was planned (which was announced to tour) but COVID put a spanner in the works. Personally, I think a concert is the right call for the time being and if there's enough interest, we may get that tour in the future. Also, I'd LOVE to see Norm Lewis live!

I was listening to he cast recording yesterday and I think Celinde is going to nail Christine but I'm not so sure about Norm. Ramin is just wonderful in it but does Norm have the vocal capacity? Mind you I've only seen him in the Dr Zhivago concert where he had a minor role and 25th Anniversary concert of Les Mis so don't have much to compare.

He's played the actual Phantom before, he's going to be so fine.

Thank you, alece10. Tickets all booked! Really excited for this! First visit to the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane since the refurb too. I know Norm Lewis has played the Phantom before, but in LOVE NEVER DIES, the music sits slightly higher in the voice. I'm sure he will be fantastic, but understand why there are maybe some concerns.

Ok so there are kids auditions for an international tour to China first performance Shanghai September 2023. They want 6 boys. Fingers crossed it’ll come to us after? Because I’m focusing in on this part ***** of the audition notice:
Three children will be alternating in China for two months of performances. They will then return to the UK. ******New performers will join the tour every two months******
Dates for the first cycle only: Rehearsals commence 28th August 2023 Travel to China 3rd September 2023 First Performance 28th September 2023 in Shanghai Contract end after two months.
All very intriguing. I’d love to see a full production here.

Joining Lewis and Schoenmaker will be Matthew Seadon-Young (Death of a Salesman, Company) as Raoul with Courtney Stapleton (Beauty and the Beast) as Meg and Sally Dexter (Emmerdale, Billy Elliot the Musical) as Madame Giry.
Completing the cast are Nic Greenshields as Squelch, Charles Brunton as Gangle, Lucie-Mae Sumner as Fleck, with the ensemble made up of Chloe Campbell, Alex Christian, Courtney George, Aoife Kenny, Alex Pinder and Emily Ann Potter.
Excited for Sally Dexter! She also performed the role on the released concept album but didn't make it to the original London cast.

Fantastic casting. And full circle moment (at last) for Sally Dexter. Great stuff!

And Matthew Seadon-Young has been excellent in anything I've seen him in.

I wonder to what extent it will be costumed?
Sadly I won't get to see it as I'm away at the Edinburgh Fringe on those dates

Pleased to see Charles Brunton back as Gangle — I really enjoyed him in the role in the original production

Joining Lewis and Schoenmaker will be Matthew Seadon-Young (Death of a Salesman, Company) as Raoul Interesting. Matthew Seadon-Young was sweet as Theo in Company, and one of his co-stars was Ben Lewis (playing Larry), the Australian LND Phantom. I like Matthew, but I don't see him having the physicality to compete with either Lewis. I hope he's not meant to convey a stereotypical shrunken, emotionally beaten down alcoholic. In that respect, Simon Gleeson's aggressive portrayal of Raoul had the volatility and anger to go head to head with Lewis in Devil Take the Hindmost, even if he was no physical match.

Anyone know of any ticket deals for this? If it’s a concert I expect there’ll be some closer to the opening to clear up the rest of the remaining seats

All remaining tickets reduced to £24.50... I am seeing this Tuesday evening and now I'm very tempted to book for the matinee also.

I don't think the offer is for all remaining tickets - I could only choose from the Grand Circle or Balcony at the reduced price.
Still a worthwhile saving, booked for matinee with no problem, a £47.50 seat for £24.50.

I'm seeing this Tuesday matinee. Doing one day in and out of London. Can I take a backpack into the theatre? Usually I leave it in my hotel room, but because I'm not staying overnight I will be carrying one.

Absolutely, just be prepared to have it searched on entry and try not to “do a Shenton” and root through it all show for snacks.
