Having got excited about this, I have since reflected and had a slightly less charitable thought concerning ATG. There has been no announcement. It is being produced in conjunction with Leicester Curve and will start there so if there were rescheduled dates, an announcement would surely come from them. Which it hasn't! Also you can't book new tickets on the ATG website. I do wonder if ATG have just put those new dates completely randomly so they can hold on to everyone's money for now. Perhaps I am being unfair. But I'll reserve judgment until there is an official announcement I think! Oh dear, that bit of good news was a bit short lived. Just as quickly as the rescheduled dates went up on the ATG site, they were pulled. In hindsight it was a bit weird that there was no official confirmation from anyone regarding the tour prior to the info that I found on my ATG booking for the Manc date. With POTO tour being curtailed, I'm being to even wonder if the tour will go ahead. At the moment, its going to be playing the waiting game and see if any official announcement is made.

I'm prepared to believe almost anything of ATG but I can only imagine the complexity of trying to reschedule a national tour when every theatre is trying to reschedule their entire programme but with no idea of when it's safe (either health-wise or commercially) to do so.

That's kinda what I mean though. Curve are physically launching it (they are doing this increasingly with big tours as they have rehearsal space, technical wizardry, set modifying capability etc etc) so it has to go there first - if Curve do not have the new dates, there is no way ATG can.

No new update for the U.K. tour, but I have noticed an e-voucher appear in my ATG account this morning for my ticket (which has now disappeared from the upcoming productions section on my account). Having a look at the rescheduled Show info posted By ATG, there is no info about any new dates pending for the Manc dates. I haven’t had any official email from ATG yet confirming the cancellation / rescheduling but from the evidence presented, I’m not hugely optimistic for a positive outcome for LND.

Am increasingly convinced that moving dates to May 2021 was merely ATG trying to pull a fast one and never came from the LND producers. I have written to them asking for a refund now....

Had this e-mail through from Curve yesterday with refund information, although it only mentions the Leicester run not going ahead, it does mention remounting the tour later on, so my assumption is that the full tour is cancelled.
A message from the Producers of Love Never Dies: “Due to ongoing advice from the government regarding the spread of Coronavirus and the inevitable knock-on effect this has had on the show’s production timetable, we regret to inform you that the forthcoming run of Love Never Dies at Curve, Leicester will no longer go ahead as planned.
We know that you will have been looking forward to seeing the show and understand this news will come as a disappointment. So please rest assured that the Producers very much hope to find a way to remount the tour at a later date.”

this should have opened tonight, but as it happened I saw it on a huge cinema screen last night with glorious sound, and i do have a love hate relationship with it. It's a great film, even if they jump some of the scene changes, but oh I'll forgive the odd time line which makes no sense, and when exactly did Phantom and Christine get it on when she was so in love with Raoul, and still Gustave's involvement in that final scene is odd, but yep, and yes the character twists are cheap, but I'll forgive it all that for the peacock scene which is simply ravishing, and whilst the ooh la la girls are annoying they do wear some gorgeous frocks and it's all bathed in wonderfully theatrical lights, and the very final image of act One is stunning. I love it, I hate it, I love it. I love it next to the clumsy, uninspiringly designed London one.

First amateur UK production has been just been announced by ALW Show Licensing for 2024! Can't see a professional production coming anytime soon if that's the case? www.facebook.com/WBOSmusicals

Can't see a professional production coming anytime soon if that's the case? www.facebook.com/WBOSmusicalsI could have sworn I saw someone repost a story from Simone Sault that had to do with LND auditions in London within the past few months. I wonder what's going on?

I was sure a tour announcement was imminent.

I'd love to see Norm again, in just about any other show than this one.

Brilliant casting - particularly in the form of Celinde as Christine which is really brilliant casting.
Norm is a great pair of hands for the Phantom and the two of them doing those big duets will sound absolutely phenomenal with those voices and the LMTO.
very in.

Great cast. Not a great choice of dates though. Not sure I can make it.

My husband wanted to see this as he always liked this when we’ve seen it in the past. Tbf I’ve always enjoyed the show, but a concert won’t be quite the spectacle the show was. Any thoughts on who will be Raoul?

If only they'd make a further change - to the thing that caused the biggest damage to this and the original.
There's no reason for Gustav to be Erik's biological son. It's more interesting if the nurture of music in Christine transfers to her son through her. That's what Erik fathered. After all, Young Christine was at the opera house to be a dancer not a singer.
At Coney Island babies in incubators were displayed as part of the show. It would have been on Erik's mind.

This is very exciting! I ADORE this score - one of ALW’s best! I was one of the few who enjoyed the original production, although the Australian one was definitely an improvement. Hoping to go to one of the two dates - is there a matinee?
Would love a full production/tour too, but this will do for now!
