I have just got in in a minute 🤷 the 'from' prices being the child price is a bit cheeky and the requested donation of £10...a bit steep in my opinion, i know you didn't have to donate, but maybe if it was less more ppl would donate

Well so much for saying I wasn't going to book. I think the excitement of moving very slowly up the queue forced me to book once I got onto the website. The date I looked at was quite heavily booked but managed to get aisle stalls and the one next to it for £65 each. Plus as we are over 60 we got them for £30 each so I'm made up. Thanks for mentioning the £30 senior offer. I wasn't aware the Old Vic did this for matinees. Booked row E stalls which is the furthest forward currently available. The booking page has a section of "stage stalls" though not yet on sale. I wonder exactly where they will be ?

But then what about the rest of the run?

Booked yesterday, queue was slow, but I got number 56 at the start, so it took only a few minutes. Joined the queue again after booking and it was quite the same, so there weren't immensely long queues. Not like Moulin Rouge +12.00 anyway.

Interesting - on a Twitter thread announcing that Gina Beck will share the role of Nellie in Chichester's South Pacific with Alex Young, Rebecca Caine mentions 'magic beans' - is this a ITW reference for this revival re Gina Beck possibly being cast...? Or something else entirely? Can't insert a screenshot here, here's a link... check out the Rebecca Caine comment in the thread...

I was wondering if this was a ‘theatrical’ reference to Gina Beck ‘expecting’?...although she would make a fantastic Baker’s Wife!

Interesting reference all things considered though lol! She'd be lovely!

Finally booked my tickets today. So excited to see what they do with this? Here’s hoping for a cast announcement soon! You can probably tell from my profile I’m an ITW fan...and have been a long time lurker to the board, so thought it was about time I signed up!

Maybe 'Boom Crunch' would be more appropriate?

Detective Drama Club makes me think of Curtains. David Hyde Pierce or Jason Manford.

I guess he could be the narrator but I get the vibe that this isn't going down the traditional route for casting - ie don't expect it to be lots of big West End names like the Regents Park production. There will be more crossover with TV actors who can sing I get the feeling.

He could only be the Narrator/Mysterious Man. But if it's good enough for Nicolas Parsons.... lol When they dropped the Narrator's body from the flies in the OLC, I nearly jumped out of my skin! And I hope they don't include the changes made in the 2002 Broadway revival

If "right track" and "getting warm" are further clues, it's clearly Michael Portillo. 🤣

Must be David Hyde Pierce - wasn't he in Spamalot on Broadway too? So there's the Monty Python connection.
