I love Broadway.com but these awards are totally invalidated by the fact that you have to vote in every category. A lot of people voting (especially Hamilton fans I would guess) may never have seen a single one of the shows including Hamilton and so are voting at random!

I do like Broadway.com and wish we had something similar. I especially like their presence on Youtube. What's On Stage and Lonon Theatre Direct try a but they just aren't the same.

Never heard of Hamilton. What is it apart from towns in Scotland and New Zealand A hip-hop/R&B musical based on the life of the first US treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton. Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda who wrote In the Heights. Sounds completely bizarre but is actually incredible. Currently completely sold out on Broadway (people are paying up to $3000 for second hand tickets). Coming to London October 2017. |

I really love Broadway.com and their video blogs, show people etc... but these awards have always been a joke. Not taking away from any talent, but like the WoS awards, they have their favourites and they will always be nominated (Sierra Bogess, Annaleigh Ashford etc). But these awards should never be taken seriously. 27 nominations for Hamilton is ridiculous and the whole "new song" category being all Hamilton is ridiculous. I have heard the recording and whilst it is good, those songs are not all valid of a nomination each, let alone an award. I am sure it will sweep here and will defiantly win more here than at the Tony's, which I think we are in for a few surprises there, I don't think it is going to win as many as people think/want it to win.

! Feeling really bad for Oak in Hamilton, he was the ONLY Hamilton cast member not to be nominated. Really happy Anthony Ramos was nominated, nobody seems to mention him when talking about the show but I think he's stunning! He had me in tears during 'Stay Alive [reprise]'. Glad his performance has been recognised at these awards!
