With it coming up to the 30th anniversary of Ian Charleson's tragic early death, I wondered what sort of heights might he have reached if he had lived?
Would he have become one of the great Acting Knights of his generation, become a major film star, concentrated on TV or Theatre work or just had a steady career as a respected character actor.
I personally think he'd have cemented his place as one of the top stage actors of his era maybe just below the Acting Knights level and been a leading NT, RSC light as well as in the West End. He'd have also done some TV and film work to some success maybe getting a BAFTA nod or two.
What do others think?
