Totally Elitist pricing. Sad really. There is an audience for a concert like this, but they sure aint gonna be paying £90 for the upper circle.

At least the prices for this make me feel that the £62.50 I paid for 2nd row stalls for Zorro isn't so bad by comparison!

I'm not paying these prices, but down the line a bit which should one pick if they haven't seen either Zorro or The Pirate Queen but are interested in both? I'm a big Les Mis and Miss Saigon fan, but Zorro sounded very exciting.

That's what I might do 😀

This is selling so badly I am actually wondering if they are gonna have to cancel it.
No idea how they are gonna fill the ENO.
if does go ahead gonna be slightly peeved to have bought a full price ticket - it surely will have to discount like mad.

2300 seats and going up against Zorro at Cadogan Hall...I think it's going to struggle! Current prices will have to come down a lot. They did for Man Of La Mancha, I got Row F stalls for £25 for that in the end!

I'm still not paying those prices but I've been willing Hannah Waddingham to start singing again so that is great news 😀

It looks like they've sold about 10 tickets, lol. I think it's safe to say we can hold out for a discount.

I am so torn, I'd love to see it, and to see Hannah perform in person, but the prices are just too much at the moment! And also its up against Zorro which I'd also love it see!

When are we going to see some discounting for this show it's barely a third sold, and getting rather close to show date. If discounts are not applied i feel this may cancelled.

If they really have already sold a third of the 2300 seats at the current high prices and bearing in mind it's a charity show I'd be confident it will go ahead.

Looks like rehearsals may be starting today, according to Hannah Waddingham's Instagram

Always baffles me why C & S a) weren't more prolific b) their never had a major hit after Miss Saigon

I never even knew this was happening - and I'm into theatre! Poor promo!
Might have to go!

I saw The Pirate Queen twice in Chicago before its doomed Broadway run, and enjoy parts of the cast recording, but for the life of me recall any other women singers in the show apart from Grace? Are these women alternating the lead?

I've not seen the show but from listening to the cast recording & watching Youtube videos when it was on Broadway (not bootlegs, the cast did a video diary) the second biggest female role is that of Queen Elizabeth I. I assume that's the role Hannah Waddingham is playing.

I saw a post from someone saying they'd treated themself to a front row centre ticket. They posted a picture of it. The price on it was £250! I couldn't imagine paying that for any show.

I hope Ms Waddington finds something interesting in the part as, as written, and as I've seen in performance, it's a pretty caricatured part with little empathy. Even Gilbert and Sullivan's grand dames seem to have more depth to them. Oh I hope they lose the tiddly pom English court music. Ghastly.

Bizarrely all the 160 quid stalls seats have been taken off sale (unless they have suddenly sold out which is very unlikely) - a trick to make the stalls look fuller on the seating plan/make people pay more?
The balcony has also been taken off sale (marked as 'sold out' - not very honest; they should just mark it as unavailable).
But NO dynamic pricing yet - surely that is what they should be doing?!

Or maybe they have taken those off as allocation for a Today Tix discounts to push some tickets for a forthcoming promo?
