Haven't seen this show but pleased to see Tosh getting some recognition - I saw him when he was just starting out in Showboat several years ago and his version of Old Man River still gives he shivers when I think about it
- this was the only traces of it I could find online

I saw this show last night and I was absolutely blown away. Five world class singers performing some of the greatest pop songs ever. Honestly I’ve never seen so much talent on one stage in my life and I’m desperate to go back and see it again. I know some people have mentioned that the story was a bit hit and miss but I really enjoyed it and I was surprised by how much humour they managed to pack in. Michael James Stewart was covering the role of George Tredwell (and others) and he was superb. Also I’m happy to say the rest of the audience were fantastic, incredibly lively in all the appropriate places and quiet during the story bits.

What a fantastic performance from the cast at the Oliviers! So great to see and hear them again after loving the show when I saw it. Tosh really is brilliant and then Beverley’s Harlem Child took it to a whole other level!

Quick question re. booking for this - are the rush/day seats only available on TodayTix? I remember Nimax were doing them on their website but can’t see any sign of them now… thanks!

Just read the email too. Was hoping it was the "it's on it's way" notification.

Quick question re. booking for this - are the rush/day seats only available on TodayTix? I remember Nimax were doing them on their website but can’t see any sign of them now… thanks! They were available at the start and the day seat code worked for some time after they stopped advertising them. Unfortunately stopped actually working for a few months. Ah thank you. I assumed they’d gone from Nimax now. Got a good seat in the stalls though, discounted in the TodayTix 24 hour (and then some!) offer, so I’m all sorted for the matinee on Thurs. Had to squeeze in one more trip before Beverley leaves!

Pleased to report this is just as good third time round! Beverley continues to make those vocals look effortless and Tosh really is a star. Sat in row D of the stalls so much closer than I’ve been before and it was great - I could just see the floor of the stage. The front row looks super uncomfortable, even if it is cheap!

His voice is great and he’s so expressive. He does a great job with the various ‘sub’ characters too I think, bringing in some great accents and humour. And his Rudy Lewis is heartbreaking. Where are you sat for your next trip? I’m not sure how anyone sees much from the front row sadly. D was pretty perfect I thought - no neck-craning but nice and close.

I am in one of the side stalls seats, about half way back. Pillar in view but doesn’t look too bad. My friend told Tosh what You said and scanned through some of the older comments about Tosh and let him know about those too. He said he is so so grateful and thankful and really appreciates the lovely things you’ve all said. She doesn’t think he realises how good he is so I’m sure it’s nice to be reassured he is doing a good job. He has some hol in May which she can also try and confirm so we don’t miss him on our visits.

Apparently so, for 10 weeks from end of October. She would still have a few months to do Drifters Girl though.

But it is at least available to stream from today… very much looking forward to listening! I’m only a few songs in but it sounds fantastic! Really rich and full, so it’s like I’m at the Garrick watching them all - just without the rustling of sweet wrappers and running commentary from the drunks two rows behind me 😂

Beverley was a guest on the radio two breakfast show today and said they are releasing Harlem Child as a single. They played that and also the opening medley.
Incredible to hear those on the radio.

Getting the weekend started with the OCR playing. A great recording of those classic songs by the fantastic cast. I'm just glad I haven't got any neighbours at the moment as the OCR is going to be played a lot!

According to Beverley Knight’s Facebook post, Alana Leslie is filling her shoes this week. Previously I saw Vanessa Ela Young cover the role of Faye Treadwell.
