Hello, I am trying to track down a location from a clip in my favourite sitcom Watching. This would have been filmed 1988/89. Hopefully the picture link has worked. The series was made by Granada, with studio work down in Manchester and location shooting being mainly Manchester and Liverpool/The Wirral. The folks on the Facebook fan page are experts in finding even the most obscurce location but this one has stumped them. In the programme it is suppose to be The Beaumont Hotel. That is almost certainly fictitious. The reason I think it is a theatre is because after the stairs are shown there is a cut to a cloakroom. Does anyone know where this place might be? Thank You Jonathan Stairs: postimg.cc/wtmTXp5Q Cloakroom: i.postimg.cc/1zQFvvft/IMG-20191027-021801.jpg

The first pic I recognised straight away. It was the polar bear on the stairs. It’s Sachas Hotel in Manchester.

Fantastic!
Thanks
After all that it wasn't a theatre. Yet this was the right place to come.
Thanks again, my fellow Mackerels will be well chuffed.
