I'm seeing this with friends - ticket re-assignment permitting - but it's like The Taming of the Shrew/Kiss Me Kate, it's underpinned by the difficult issue of domestic violence.

It's my favourite score so I want to see more than once (and the grass bank for a matinee will be a nice way to get to do that)

Tickets for a limited number of dates are showing as for sale on the Open Air Theatre web site now. You can see from that what the seat groupings will be.
I was booked for Carousel last year. The last email I received was in May last year saying "You do not need to do anything. We have already transferred your original booking to the corresponding performance in 2021". My original three seats (F25,26,27) show on the new seating plan as in a group of four so I have to just hope we are reallocated to reasonable seats.
My sister had a booking for R&J seats F23-26 and has just had an email and been reallocated to C5-8.

I had my email with amended seats (a couple along the row from the original seats) a couple of day ago.

Nice to see there are single seats in the front section this time, with JCS the closest I could get was row J.

Tickets are in groups of 1, 2, 3 and 4, so I'm assuming my 5 tickets will be re-allocated as 3 and 2. But, like you, I am getting a little antsy about tickets being re-sold while mine remain unallocated. Surely, they wouldn't do that to us, after all this palaver...

Similarly nice to get a single bottom price ticket (booked hurriedly to replace Book of Mormon on my September trip) I wasn’t interested when it was announced but FOMO kicked in and I decided I would book it in my next open slot!

Did anyone see Jesus last year, were you expected to wear face coverings even though it was social distanced and outdoors?

But yes, last time was masks throughout.

Received my new “socially distanced” seats. Been bumped from row c to e. Still in the middle so happy and excited to hear the waltz being played. Let’s hope for a big orchestra 😁

Just received my replacement tickets. My three tickets were moved from centre row F to row J which is the front row of the left of centre rear block. A little disappointing but could have been worse. The seats show as a block of two on the plan but I guess that this was sensible allocation as the third seat is by an aisle so we will still be socially distanced and it means they can sell an extra ticket.
I note that our £25 over 60s tickets are priced at £35 this year.

Only the final week is currently on sale with good availability for every performance. I was moved from row B to row E. I paid £25 when I booked my 60+ seat last month on the socially distanced layout, so the price increase is a recent change. Slightly surprised I had to move as it was one of the few single seats when I booked it. Nice to have received an E-ticket. In previous years 60+ £25 matinee tickets were box office collection only.

Declan Bennett as Billy Carly Bawden as Julie Joanna Riding as Nettie John Pfumojena as Mr Snow Natasha May Thomas as Louise This is intriguing! A few days ago I was wondering what Carly Bawden has been up to, she was great in Assassins and the only decent thing about the abominable wonder.land. I think Carousel really benefits from a young Billy and Juliet so it is a slightly mixed bag in that regard, but it's a very solid cast and I'm sure they'll do great. Lovely to see Joanna returning to the show and I'm really curious now to see who they will cast as Carrie
